    Abstract
Looks at ways of making library catalogues easier for children to use, including the Book House, a Danish search system based on studies of how library users carry out searches in the catalogues. This and other research shows that much can be done to make library catalogues easier for children to use and to encourage the search for information andreading. In this work libraries must start from the subjects children ask about and adapt to children's level of development and ways of expressing themselves
