    Abstract
    Täglich erreicht uns eine wahre Flut an Informationen. Zahlreiche Medien überschütten uns mit ihren Beiträgen und stehen zur Informationsgewinnung und Meinungsbildung zur Verfügung. Experten sprechen von einer "Informationsgesellschaft". Doch stimmt das wirklich? Nein, denn Masse ist bekanntlich noch lange keine Klasse! Viktor Farkas hatte schon immer ein gesundes Mißtrauen gegenüber der offiziellen Medien-Berichterstattung. Seit Jahren ist er all jenem auf der Spur, was an Informationen unterdrückt, verdreht, weggelassen und unter den Teppich gekehrt wird. Er zeigt anhand einer Vielzahl von Beispielen aus Politik, Wirtschaft und anderen Lebensbereichen, daß die "Informationsgesellschaft" ein reiner Mythos ist. Ein großer Teil der Informationen ist manipulativ und dient den Interessen derjenigen, die gewöhnlich im Hintergrund bleiben. Die Wahrheit, die zum Verständnis des Geschehens wichtig wäre, erfährt der Nutzer der klassischen Medien hingegen oftmals nicht.
