- Abstract
- "Information" ist einer der wichtigsten Begriffe der modernen Wissenschaft. Damit ist nicht nur gemeint, dass wir im Zeitalter digitaler Informationsverarbeitung durch Computer leben, sondern dass wir Information überall entdecken können: So werden aus Nullen und Einsen soziale Netzwerke und aus Marktplätzen »hochkomplexe Informationssysteme«. Von der Quantenphysik bis zur Evolutionstheorie, vom abstrakten algorithmischen und nachrichtentechnischen Begriff zur experimentellen Hirnforschung zeigt Klaus Mainzer, wie die unterschiedlichen Formen von Information miteinander zusammenhängen.
