- Abstract
- Im Zuge der immer größeren Verfügbarkeit von Daten (Big Data) und rasanter Fortschritte im Daten-basierten maschinellen Lernen haben wir in den letzten Jahren Durchbrüche in der künstlichen Intelligenz erlebt. Dieser Vortrag beleuchtet diese Entwicklungen insbesondere im Hinblick auf die automatische Analyse von Textdaten. Anhand einfacher Beispiele illustrieren wir, wie moderne Textanalyse abläuft und zeigen wiederum anhand von Beispielen, welche praktischen Anwendungsmöglichkeiten sich heutzutage in Branchen wie dem Verlagswesen, der Finanzindustrie oder dem Consulting ergeben.

- Abstract
- Der vorliegende Artikel befasst sich mit maschinellem Lernen von Ontologien. Es werden verschiedene Ansätze zum Ontology Learning vorgestellt. Der Fokus liegt auf dem Einsatz maschineller Lernalgorithmen zum automatischen Erwerb von Ontologien für das virtuelle Bibliotheksregal MyShelf. Dieses bietet Benutzern bei der Recherche durch Ontology Switching einen flexibleren Zugang zu Informationsbeständen. Basierend auf Textkorpora wurden Lerntechniken angewandt, um deren Potential für die Erstellung von Ontologien zu überprüfen.

- Abstract
- Dieses Buch präsentiert ein breites Spektrum aktueller Methoden zur Repräsentation und Verarbeitung (un)sicheren Wissens in maschinellen Systemen in didaktisch aufbereiteter Form. Neben symbolischen Ansätzen des nichtmonotonen Schließens (Default-Logik, hier konstruktiv und leicht verständlich mittels sog. Default-Bäume realisiert) werden auch ausführlich quantitative Methoden wie z.B. probabilistische Markov- und Bayes-Netze vorgestellt. Weitere Abschnitte beschäftigen sich mit Wissensdynamik (Truth Maintenance-Systeme), Aktionen und Planen, maschinellem Lernen, Data Mining und fallbasiertem Schließen.In einem vertieften Querschnitt werden zentrale alternative Ansätze einer logikbasierten Wissensmodellierung ausführlich behandelt. Detailliert beschriebene Algorithmen geben dem Praktiker nützliche Hinweise zur Anwendung der vorgestellten Ansätze an die Hand, während fundiertes Hintergrundwissen ein tieferes Verständnis für die Besonderheiten der einzelnen Methoden vermittelt . Mit einer weitgehend vollständigen Darstellung des Stoffes und zahlreichen, in den Text integrierten Aufgaben ist das Buch für ein Selbststudium konzipiert, eignet sich aber gleichermaßen für eine entsprechende Vorlesung. - Abstract
- Despite the dissemination of modeling languages and tools for representation and construction of ontologies, their underlying methodologies can still be improved. As a consequence, ontology tools can be enhanced accordingly, in order to support users through the ontology construction process. This paper proposes suggestions for ontology tools' improvement based on a case study within the domain of bioinformatics, applying a reuse method ology. Quantitative and qualitative analyses were carried out on a subset of 28 terms of Gene Ontology on a semi-automatic alignment with other biomedical ontologies. As a result, a report is presented containing suggestions for enhancing ontology reuse tools, which is a product derived from difficulties that we had in reusing a set of OBO ontologies. For the reuse process, a set of steps closely related to those of Pinto and Martin's methodology was used. In each step, it was observed that the experiment would have been significantly improved if ontology manipulation tools had provided certain features. Accordingly, problematic aspects in ontology tools are presented and suggestions are made aiming at getting better results in ontology reuse.
