    Abstract
    Die Theorie der Wissenschaftskommunikation muss sich die konzeptuellen Bausteine aus jenen Wissenschaften holen, welche sich mit der Wissens- und Kommunikationsthematik eingehend, aber getrennt befassen. Die bisherigen Arbeiten zur Wissenschaftskommunikation machen davon leider nur einseitigen Gebrauch: Wissenschaftstheorie für die Vergangenheit, IuK-Technologie für die Zukunft der Wissenschaftskommunikation. Zur Wissens- und Wissenschaftskommunikation gibt es viele isolierte Theoreme, wenig ausgearbeitete Konzepte, keine umfassende Theorie. Was fehlt, ist ein verbindender, verbundener Ansatz. Dazu braucht es allerdinas mehr, als hier im Einzelnen erläutert werden kann.

    Abstract
    Wissenschaftskommunikation ist ein vielschichtiger Prozess. Im vorliegenden BuB-Schwerpunkt wird er aus ganz unterschiedlichen Perspektiven beleuchtet. Zunächst versucht Olaf Eigenbrodt eine historische Verortung und stellt dabei den Aspekt der Vermittlung von wissenschaftlicher Arbeit und ihrer Ergebnisse an eine breite Öffentlichkeit in den Vordergrund. Die beiden folgenden Autoren konzentrieren sich dagegen auf die Kommunikation innerhalb der Wissenschaft beziehungsweise zwischen verschiedenen Wissenschaftsdisziplinen: Anja Beddies beschreibt, wie die geisteswissenschaftliche Forschung zunehmend die Potenziale des Internet nutzt; Gerwin Kasperek erläutert die aktuellen literaturbezogenen Arbeitsweisen von Naturwissenschaftlern am Beispiel der Biologie -jeweils mit Fokus auf Funktion und Aufgaben, die Bibliotheken in diesem Zusammenhang erfüllen. Im Anschluss diskutiert Lambert Heller die Chancen und Möglichkeiten die Bibliotheken aus der verstärkten Wissenschaftskommunikation im Internet erwachsen. Schließlich präsentieren Antje Michel und Ralf Schimmer die virtuelle Hybridbibliothek der Max-Planck-Gesellschaft als ein herausragendes Beispiel für die Literatur- und Informationsversorgung in der Spitzenforschung.

    Abstract
    Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler propagieren die demokratische dezentrale Selbstorganisation der globalen Wissenschaftskommunikation als Blockchain. Bericht über die "1st international Conference on Blockchain for Science, Research and Knowledge Creation", Berlin, 5. und 6. November 2018. Sie wollen die Wissenschaftskommunikation und ihr Publikationswesen revolutionieren. Der Wissensaustausch soll ohne Barrieren fließen. Forschende sollen ihre Datensammlungen, Zwischenergebnisse und Fragen von Beginn des Forschungsprozesses an urheberrechtssicher direkt publizieren und diskutieren können; auch Fehlversuche und negative Ergebnisse. Sie haben ganz viel Enthusiasmus, frische Ideen und mit Blockchain ein neuartiges Datenverarbeitungskonzept, das mit dem bestehenden Internet als Transportfundament den weltweiten Datenverkehr unabhängig von zentralen Unternehmensplattformen möglich macht (zumindest technisch). Dieser kryptogesicherten Blockdatenverarbeitung mit verteilten Transaktionsregistern (sorry, es geht nicht kürzer) schreiben sie das Potential zu, in einem autonom geführten Netzwerk, in dem alle Teilnehmenden gleichberechtigt sind und miteinander agieren können, der Wissenschaft die Hoheit über ihren weltweiten Informationsaustausch geben zu können. Die Rede ist von der "Blockchain One Community", Wissenschaftlerinnen und Wissenschaftler aus verschiedenen Disziplinen und Ländern, die sich für eine "Blockchain for Science" engagieren. Die Kühnsten unter ihnen streben eine weltweite Wissenschaftskommunikation in demokratischer Selbstorganisation an. Blockchains nutzen kann, wer einen Internetzugang hat.

    Abstract
    Das EconBiz Academic Career Kit ist ein interaktives Online-Tutorial für den wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs in den Wirtschaftswissenschaften. In drei Modulen geht es um die Themen: erste Veröffentlichung, Open Access, Predatory Journals und Urheberrecht - Wissenschaftskommunikation, kollaboratives Arbeiten, Networking und Metriken - Forschungsdatenmanagement. Angebote der Vermittlung von Informationskompetenz sind in diesen Feldern und für diese Zielgruppe in Deutschland noch nicht flächendeckend verbreitet. Darum - und weil Forschende sich zu diesen Fragen meist im Netz informieren - ist das Academic Career Kit als OER unter der Lizenz CC-BY veröffentlicht und damit zur Bearbeitung und Weiterverwendung durch Dritte freigegeben.
