Abstract

Bennenung und Begriff von 'Wissen' spielen im Bereich der Klassifikation eine wesentliche Rolle, da Klassifikationssysteme und Thesauri als Wissensordnungen verstanden werden können, deren Komponenten Wissenseinheiten (Begriffe) sind und diese wiederum aus Wissenselementen (Merkmalen) bestehen. In der Terminologie des Gebiets der Künstlichen Intelligenz tauchen nunmehr ebenfalls Komposita mit 'Wissen' auf. Es wird versucht, den augenfälligen Berührungspunkten dieser beiden Tätigkeitsbereiche nachzugehen und die Folgerungen aus dem 'know-how' beider Richtungen im Sinne einer möglichen gegenseitigen Hilfestellung aufzuzeigen

Abstract

Nach einem Rückblick auf die Jahrestagungsthemen seit der Gründung der Gesellschaft für Klassifikation 1977 und auf die inhaltlichen Schwerpunkte ihrer 237 Vorträge in den bisherigen Proceedingsbänden werden einige anscheinend vernachlässigte Themen aus dem Problembereich der Klassifikation genannt. Die Schwerpunkte im internationalen Bereich, die sich in der laufenden Bibliographie in "International Classification" abzeichnen, sind ähnlich verteilt. Realisierbare Möglichkeiten der Klassifikationsforschung und -entwicklung in der Zukunft werden in 10 Punkten dargestellt und anschließend in "10 Thesen für die Weiterarbeit" zusammengefaßt

Abstract

Der Beitrag umfasst eine Einführung in das Verständnis der Information Coding Classification (ICC), einer Universalklassifikation von Wissensgebieten. Er enthält (1) Entstehungsgeschichte (1970 bis 1977), (2) ihre Prinzipien: Begriffe, Begriffsbeziehungen, Notation, Hauptklassen als Objektbereiche in Integrationsstufen, Systemstellenplan als Systematifikator mit neun Aspekten zur Untergliederung, Verbindungsmöglichkeiten mit anderen Systemen, Systemstellen zur Darstellung von Inter- und Transdisziplinarität.
