    Künstliche Intelligenz (KI) steht für Maschinen, die können, was der Mensch kann: hören und sehen, sprechen, lernen, Probleme lösen. In manchem sind sie inzwischen nicht nur schneller, sondern auch besser als der Mensch. Wie funktionieren diese klugen Maschinen? Bedrohen sie uns, machen sie uns gar überflüssig? Die Journalistin und KI-Expertin Manuela Lenzen erklärt anschaulich, was Künstliche Intelligenz kann und was uns erwartet. Künstliche Intelligenz ist das neue Zauberwort des digitalen Kapitalismus. Intelligente Computersysteme stellen medizinische Diagnosen und geben Rechtsberatung. Sie managen den Aktienhandel und steuern bald unsere Autos. Sie malen, dichten, dolmetschen und komponieren. Immer klügere Roboter stehen an den Fließbändern, begrüßen uns im Hotel, führen uns durchs Museum oder braten Burger und schnipseln den Salat dazu.     Abstract
    Semantische Netze unterstützen den Suchvorgang im Information Retrieval. Sie bestehen aus relationierten Begriffen und helfen dem Nutzer das richtige Vokabular zur Fragebildung zu finden. Eine leicht und intuitiv erfassbare Darstellung und eine interaktive Bedienungsmöglichkeit optimieren den Suchprozess mit der Begriffsstruktur. Als Interaktionsform bietet sich Hy-pertext mit dem etablierte Point- und Klickverfahren an. Eine Visualisierung zur Unterstützung kognitiver Fähigkeiten kann durch eine Darstellung der Informationen mit Hilfe von Punkten und Linien erfolgen. Vorgestellt wer-den die Anwendungsbeispiele Wissensnetz im Brockhaus multimedial, WordSurfer der Firma BiblioMondo, SpiderSearch der Firma BOND und Topic Maps Visualization in dandelon.com und im Portal Informationswis-senschaft der Firma AGI - Information Management Consultants.

    Abstract
    Künstliche Intelligenz kann lernen anhand von Erfahrungen und Vorgaben. Das Problem ist aber, dass sich maschinelles Lernen zwar in eine bestimmte Richtung steuern lässt, um bestimmte Probleme zu lösen, dass aber der Programmierer mitunter nicht mehr weiß, was in dem "künstlichen Gehirn" bzw. dem neuronalen Netzwerk vor sich geht, das mit zunehmender Komplexität und Lernerfahrung für den Menschen zur Black Box wird, wo man nur sehen kann, was an Daten einfließt und was herauskommt.
