    Das Deutsche Referenzzentrum für Ethik in den Biowissenschaften (DRZE) in Bonn veröffentlicht zusammen mit nationalen und internationalen Partnern den neuen, mehrsprachigen Thesaurus Ethik in den Biowissenschaften. Das Werkzeug zur Recherche und Verschlagwortung liegt derzeit in deutscher und englischer Sprache vor. Eine französische Version folgt 2005. Insbesondere die Online-Version des Thesaurus bietet komfortable Navigations- und Suchmöglichkeiten.

    "Das Deutsche Referenzzentrum für Ethik in den Biowissenschaften (DRZE) in Bonn hat zusammen mit seinen nationalen und internationalen Partnern die 5. Ausgabe des dreisprachigen Thesaurus Ethik in den Biowissenschaften (Thesaurus Ethics in the Life Sciences/Thesaurus d'éthique des sciences de la vie) veröffentlicht. Der Thesaurus, der über 2.800 Deskriptoren in deutscher, englischer und französischer Sprache umfasst, wurde umfassend bearbeitet und enthält eine große Zahl neuer, erklärender Scope Notes (Verwendungshinweise), die die Handhabung erheblich erleichtern. Der Thesaurus wird ständig in Kooperation der folgenden Partnerinstitute weiterentwickelt: - Deutsches Referenzzentrum für Ethik in den Biowissenschaften (DRZE), Bonn (Koordination) - Centre de documentation en éthique des sciences de la vie et de la santé, INSERM/CCNE, Paris - Informations- und Dokumentationsstelle Ethik in der Medizin (IDEM), Göttingen - Interfakultäres Zentrum für Ethik in den Wissenschaften (IZEW), Universität Tübingen - Library and Information Services, Kennedy - Institute of Ethics (KIE), Georgetown - University, Washington, DC Das DRZE initiierte 1999 das Thesaurusprojekt, weil für die inhaltliche Erschließung bioethischer Literatur ein kontrolliertes, multilinguales Vokabular benötigt wurde, welches das gesamte interdisziplinäre Feld der Ethik in den Biowissenschaften abdeckt. Mit dem Thesaurus lässt sich bioethische Literatur im deutsch-, englisch- und französischsprachigen Forschungsraum nach einem einheitlichen System erschließen. Die 5. Ausgabe des Thesaurus wird in zwei Publikationsformen angeboten, als Onlineversion und zum Herunterladen im XML-Format. Die Nutzung der Onlineversion des Thesaurus ist gratis. Zur Erleichterung der Indexierung wird eine Sammelkorbfunktion angeboten. Diese Version bietet zudem eine neue Suchfunktion: die Konkordanzsuche ermöglicht die Recherche nach Deskriptoren in den Referenzthesauri, zu denen der Thesaurus Konkordanznachweise führt. Von den Deskriptoren der Referenzthesauri wird man zu den entsprechenden Deskriptoren im Thesaurus Ethik in den Biowissenschaften geführt, die dieselbe Bedeutung haben. Seit Mitte September kann der gesamte Thesaurus auch gratis als Datei im XML-Format heruntergeladen werden." Januar 2011: 7. Ausgabe.
