- Abstract
- . . . Perspektive Das Projekt Catalogue Enrichment des Landes Nordrhein-Westfalen wird 2008 mit Unterstützung des Ministeriums für Innovation, Wissenschaft, Forschung und Technologie fortgeführt werden. Das bisherige Ergebnis ist in quantitativer und qualitativer Hinsicht sicherlich einmalig in einem deutschen Bibliotheksverbund und in jeder Hinsicht richtungsweisend. Ein Ziel des Projektes, durch frühe und überzeugende Strahlkraft auf nationaler Ebene eine Diversifikation der Scanmethode und Scanqualität sowie Doppelarbeit zu verhindern bzw. zu minimieren, wurde jedoch leider nicht erreicht. Die im Bibliothekswesen ja durchaus übliche "Postkoordination" wird zurzeit von den Verbünden unter Einschluss der demnächst mit dem aktiven Anreichern von Titeldaten beginnenden Deutschen Nationalbibliothek intensiv betrieben. Es ist zu wünschen, dass diese Kooperation erfolgreich verläuft. Ziel muss sein, dass jedes Inhaltsverzeichnis in Deutschland qualitativ hochwertig nur einmal gescannt und im Anschluss daran allen anderen Bibliotheken zeitnah und kostenlos zur Verfügung gestellt wird.
