    Abstract
    Das Framework Informationskompetenz in der Hochschulbildung bietet sich als bibliotheksdidaktischer Rahmen auch schon für Kursangebote für Schulklassen an: obwohl es für die Angebote an Hochschulen und Universitäten konzipiert wurde, bereiten die Kollegstufen deutscher Gymnasien auf wissenschaftliche Karrieren vor; bibliothekarische Angebote für angehende Studierende können und sollten sich daher ebenfalls schon nach dem Framework richten. Informationskompetenz praxis- und lebensnah an Schüler*innen zu vermitteln, kann mit dem Framework als didaktischem Rahmen und praktisch am Beispiel der bei Lernenden und Lehrenden gleichermaßen beliebten und gleichzeitig viel gescholtenen Online-Enzyklopädie Wikipedia gelingen. Nicht nur wegen der zahlreichen Corona-bedingten Bibliotheksschließungen sollten angehende Abiturient*innen im Bereich der Online-Recherche zu reflektierten und kritischen Nutzer*innen ausgebildet werden. Im Rahmen des Frameworks kann praktisch am Beispiel Wikipedia Informationskompetenz vermittelt werden, die die Teilnehmenden unserer Kurse von der Wikipedia ausgehend auf die allgemeine Online-Recherche und auch auf alle anderen Bereiche des wissenschaftlichen Arbeitens übertragen können.

    Abstract
    Die bibliothekarischen Schulungsangebote der Universitäts- und Landesbibliothek (ULB) Bonn wurden seit dem Jahr 2001 gezielt um fachspezifische Elemente ergänzt. Angestrebt war die Entwicklung eines modularen Vermittlungskonzepts für Informationskompetenz. Während sich die Akzeptanz in einigen geisteswissenschaftlichen Studiengängen schon immer auf einem höheren Niveau befand, war das Interesse in den Wirtschaftswissenschaften dagegen nur sehr schwach ausgeprägt. Im Fachreferat Wirtschaftswissenschaften wurde deshalb nach einer Bestandsanalyse überlegt, auf welche Weise das Angebot von Einführungen in die Literaturrecherche einem größeren Teilnehmerkreis zu erschließen ist. Ergebnis war die Entwicklung und Erprobung eines zweistufigen Konzepts. Im ersten Studienabschnitt werden die Veranstaltungen zur Informationskompetenz in das Curriculum mit Unterstützung von studentischen Multiplikatoren des Fachbereichs integriert, für den zweiten Studienabschnitt bietet das Fachreferat seminarbezogene Veranstaltungen an.

    Abstract
    Bibliotheks- und Informationskompetenz können Studierende im Rahmen von Einführungs- und Schulungsangeboten der Hochschulbibliothek erlangen, jedoch gibt es daneben auch andere Hilfsmittel, die eventuell noch mehr Einfluss haben als die von kundigen Bibliothekar(inn)en durchgeführten Kurse. Infrage kommen dafür vor allem einschlägige Lehrbücher zur Einführung in das wissenschaftliche Arbeiten beziehungsweise zur Anfertigung von Haus- und Examensarbeiten, denn diese beinhalten mehr oder minder ausführliche Abschnitte über Bibliotheken, die Bibliotheksbenutzung und die Literaturrecherche. Ihre Bedeutung für das Studium, die Examensvorbereitung und auch die Promotion ist kaum zu überschätzen, weil sie in der Regel von Hochschuldozenten, teilweise von Professoren, verfasst sind und deshalb in der Lehre gern verwendet und empfohlen werden.

    Abstract
    Die für das Hochschulwesen der Schweiz zuständigen Ämter und Gremien befassen sich hauptsächlich mit den technologischen Studierende in diesem Bereich Defizite aufweisen. Ein Vorstoss der ETH-Bibliothek, die Vermittlung von Informationskompetenz ins Curriculum aufzunehmen, blieb bei der Schulleitung ohne Erfolg.     Abstract
    Der Begriff Informationskompetenz definiert Techniken und Methoden der Recherche, Beurteilung und Nutzung von Informationen und gilt in der modernen Informa­tionsgesellschaft als Schlüsselkompetenz. Die deutsche Übersetzung des aus dem angloamerikanischen Raum stammenden "Information Literacy" hat sich in den vergangenen Jahren auch in Deutschland etabliert. Auf Basis einer exemplarischen Untersuchung wird der Stand der Vermittlung von Informationskompetenz an Bibliotheken in vier deutschen Millionenstädten beschrieben. Für die Untersuchung wurden nach vorangegangenen Online-Recherchen Kriterien festgelegt, nach denen die Auswahl der untersuchten Bibliotheken erfolgte. Die Untersuchung erfolgte mit einem Fragebogen, dessen Fragen die Bereiche "Allgemein", "Personal", "Bildungsan­gebot" und "Methodik" hinsichtlich der Vermittlung von Informationskompetenz durch Bibliotheken abdecken. Die Sondierung erfolgte im September und Oktober 2014 durch die schriftliche Beantwortung der Fragebögen durch die zuständigen Bibliothekare. Die Ergebnisse dieser exemplarischen Befragung offenbaren, dass Informationskompetenz an allen fünf untersuchten Bibliotheken aktiv in Form von Schulungen bzw. Kursen vermittelt wird und dabei unterschiedliche Schwerpunkte gesetzt werden. Auffällige Gemeinsamkeit der Befragung sind die fehlende einheitliche Definition von Informationskompetenz und das Fehlen von Standards zur Vermittlung von Informationskompetenz.

    Abstract
    Das Framework for Information Literacy for Higher Education wurde im Januar 2016 vom Vorstand der Association of College & Research Libraries (ACRL) beschlossen. Es beruht auf der Idee von "Threshold Concepts" und sieht Informationskompetenz in einem engen Zusammenhang mit Wissenschaft und Forschung. Dadurch legt es bei der Vermittlung von Informationskompetenz eine starke Betonung auf das "Warum", nicht nur auf das "Was". Der Ansatz des Framework wird vielfach kontrovers diskutiert. Bietet er tatsächlich eine neue Sichtweise auf die Förderung von Informationskompetenz oder ist er überwiegend alter Wein in neuen Schläuchen? Kann das Framework neue Impulse für die Aktivitäten an den Bibliotheken in Deutschland setzen oder beschreibt es etwas, was wir längst machen? Der Beitrag versucht, Anregungen zu geben, welche Konsequenzen das Framework für unsere Kurse haben kann und welche veränderten Lernziele mit ihm verbunden sein können. Dabei plädiert er für ein umfassendes Verständnis von Informationskompetenz, das sich nicht auf Einzelaspekte wie Recherchekompetenz beschränkt.

    Abstract
    Mit dem ersten Teil dieses Beitrages wurde in Heft 4/2017 eine Bilanz zu Maßnahmen und Wirkungen der Initiative für Informationskompetenz der DGI gezogen. Nun werden einzelne Aktivitäten und Modellprojekte in Politik und Verbänden zur besseren Sichtbarkeit der Informationskompetenz und ihrer stärkeren Verankerung in der universitären, beruflichen, besonders aber schulischen Ausbildung vorgestellt. Dazu thematisiert der Artikel Aspekte der Forschung zum Begriff Informationskompetenz und seine Abgrenzung zur Medienkompetenz.
