Abstract

Bibliotheken verlassen zunehmend ihre traditionellen Pfade (Sammlung und Bereitstellung von Informationen und Medien) und erproben neue institutionelle Ausrichtungen. Sie übernehmen zusätzlich im Hinblick auf ihre Zielgruppen soziale, kulturelle und lernunterstützenden Funktionen. Diese Profilveränderung kann aber nur in einer vernetzten Struktur von Bildungs-, Kultureinrichtungen und sozialen Institutionen in einem räumlich gesamtzusammenhang stattfinden. diesem Zweck dienen kooperative Bildungs- und Lernarrangements abenso wie an Nutzerbedürfnissen orientierte technische systeme der digitalen Informationspräsentation, Recherche und Interaktion. Praktikern wie wissenschaftlich Interessierten aus Bibliotheken und deren kooperierenden Partnern aus Bildung und Kultur bietet dieser Band eine Fülle praxisorientierter Beispiele, die mögliche Profilveränderungen und Gestaltungsspielräume für Bibliotheken aufzeigen
