Abstract: Nichts stört die Bewältigung von Alltagsproblemen mehr als die intensive Wendung zur Frage nach dem tiefsten Grund und der letzten Bestimmung der Dinge. Aber war die Philosophie mit ihrer starken Selbstreflexion nicht immer schon ein bisschen morbid, gemessen am robusten Realismus des täglichen Lebensvollzuges? Dennoch könnte es vielleicht ratsam sein, sich die philosophische Krankheit der Sinnsuche wenigstens für eine kurze Weile zu leisten, um dann mit mehr Vertrauen und Gelassenheit zur nüchternen Alltagswelt zurückzukehren.

Abstract: Verglichen mit ihrer mehr als zweieinhalbtausendjährigen Geschichte handelt es sich bei der Wissenschaftstheorie um eine sehr junge Disziplin der Philosophie. Von einer Etablierug als eigenständiger Disziplin kann erst seit den dreißiger Jahren des 20. Jahrhunderts gesprochen werden. Verständlich wird die Entwicklung dieser neuen Disziplin aber nur, wenn man sieht, daß sie auf eine grundlegende Krise der Philosophie antwortet, nämlich auf das Scheitern des Projekts abendländischer Metaphysik, und gleichzeitig den Versuch darstellt, einen undogmatischen Begriff von Wissenschaft bereitzustellen durch eine Reflexion der Bedingungen, Möglichkeiten und Grenzen gesicherten Wissens

Abstract: Ludwig Wittgenstein hat bis heute seinen Interpreten Rätsel aufgegeben. Die komplexe Einheit seines Werkes, das sämtlich Formen menschlicher Zeichenpraxis einbezieht, ist zumeist unerkannt geblieben und auf einzelne Theoreme der Sprachanalyse und Logik reduziert worden. Der Autor rekonstruiert in Grundzügen die Einheit des Werkes von Wittgenstein aus dem Gehalt seiner Texte. Als wichtigstes Ergebnis zeigt sich die Destruktion jeder System-Philosophie zugunsten eines radikal handlungstheoretischen Denkens. Veränderungen der individuellen wie kulturellen Lebenspraxis wird zum utopischen Ziel jenseits der 'Philosophie'

Abstract: In mehrfacher Hinsicht erscheint der Mythos als das Andere gegenüber der uns vertrauten Vorstellungswelt. Im Spiegel des Mythos sich selber erkennen - dies ist der Fluchtpunkt der hier unternommenen Reflexion auf den Mythos. Sich im Anderen erkennen, verlangt zweierlei: das Andere in seiner Eigenart zu begreifen und in ihm nicht nur das beziehungslos Fremde zu sehen. Diesem doppelten Ziel ist die vorliegende Untersuchung verpflichtet. Genauer ist der Horizont, in den sie sich situiert, durch den Gang vom Mythos zur Philosophie definiert; ihr Gegenstand ist der Mythos als Vorgeschichte der Metaphysik.

Abstract

Werden Maschinen mit Begriffen beschrieben, die ursprünglich der Beschreibung des Menschen dienen, so liegt zunächst der Verdacht nahe, dass jene Maschinen spezifischmenschliche Fähigkeiten oder Eigenschaften besitzen. Für körperliche Fähigkeiten, die mechanisch nachgeahmt werden, hat sich in der Alltagssprache eine anthropomorphisierende Sprechweise bereits etabliert. So wird kaum in Frage gestellt, dass bestimmte Maschinen weben, backen, sich bewegen oder arbeiten können. Bei nichtkörperlichen Eigenschaften, etwa kognitiver, sozialer oder moralischer Art sieht dies jedoch anders aus. Dass mittlerweile intelligente und rechnende Maschinen im alltäglichen Sprachgebrauch Eingang gefunden haben, wäre jedoch undenkbar ohne den langjährigen Diskurs über Künstliche Intelligenz, welcher insbesondere die zweite Hälfte des vergangenen Jahrhunderts geprägt hat. In jüngster Zeit ist es der Autonomiebegriff, welcher zunehmend Verwendung zur Beschreibung neuer Technologien findet, wie etwa "autonome mobile Roboter" oder "autonome Systeme". Dem Begriff nach rekurriert die "Autonomie" jener Technologien auf eine bestimmte Art technologischen Fortschritts, die von der Fähigkeit zur Selbstgesetzgebung herrührt. Dies wirft aus philosophischer Sicht jedoch die Frage auf, wie die Selbstgesetzgebung in diesem Fall definiert ist, zumal sich der Autonomiebegriff in der Philosophie auf die politische oder moralische Selbstgesetzgebung von Menschen oder Menschengruppen beziehungsweise ihre Handlungen bezieht. Im Handbuch Robotik hingegen führt der Autor geradezu beiläufig die Bezeichnung "autonom" ein, indem er prognostiziert, dass "[.] autonome Roboter in Zukunft sogar einen Großteil der Altenbetreuung übernehmen werden."
