- Interviews Judith Krug, director of the American Library Association's Office for Intellectual Freedom. Self cesonship is difficult to identify and combat. ALA tries to negotiate first in cases brought to its notice, but if necessary will bring actions. Among cases won was that against the Communications Decency Act, which threatened to restrict library access to the Internet. Any new Act must define 'indecency' clearly. Censorship for children's sake should be exercised by parents, not librarians. Welcomes IFLA's Committee on Access to Information and Freedom of Expression. Free access must also mean free of charge
