    Abstract
    The Northern Light Internet search engine was inaugurated in Aug 1997. The service differs from existing services in that it classifies search results in a set of custom search folders and for a modest fee provides access to a range of bibliographical resources not normally available via the Web. Paymant may be made online via a simple transaction. The custom search folders enable users to refine searches more easily than with other search engines.
