Abstract: Der Beitrag beschäftigt sich mit der computervermittelten Kommunikation von Wissen als Voraussetzung eines erfolgreichen Wissensmanagements. Dabei stehen Kommunikationsprozesse und die Wahl der Medien im Mittelpunkt. Als theoretischer Hintergrund werden Theorien vorgestellt, die diese Auswahl begründen. Der Artikel stellt vor allem die Theorie der Mediensynchronizität vor.

Abstract

Literaturdokumentation mit Hilfe rechnergestützter Spezialsoftware ist seit einigen Jahren auch für solche Einrichtungen interessant, für die früher solcherart Leistung aufgrund der benötigten Computerkapazität kaum möglich war. Unser Beitrag gibt beispielhaft Erfahrungen aus der dokumentarischen Tätigkeit der MasterMedia Beratungsgesellschaft für Kommunikation, einer PR-Agentur, und dem Engagement des Verfassers in der Aus- und Weiterbildung auf diesem Gebiet wieder. MasterMedia baut seit Beginn des Jahres 1992 ein eigenes Pressearchiv auf, verwaltet über die Dokumentationssoftware FAUST.
