    Systematische Aufstellung bedeutet den offenen Zugang zum größten Teil der vorhandenen Bestände nach sachlicher, dem Benutzer nachvollziehbarer Ordnung. Die heutige Anwendung systematischer Aufstellung im deutschen Bereich ist die Umkehrung eines historischen Prozesses, der sich auf G. Leyh zurückführen läßt. Die offene Aufstellung der Bestände von zentralen Universitätsbibliotheken, wie sie auch in den Institutsbibliotheken gehandhabt wird, bietet dem Benutzer viele Vorteile.     CONDOR ist ein Modell eines modularen, integrierten DB-/IR-Systems, mit dem sowohl strukturierte als auch unstrukturierte Daten (Textdaten) verarbeiet werden können. Da ein breiter Benutzerkreis Zugang zum System haben soll, sind verschiedene Dialogformen (Kommando, natürlichsprachlich, Formular, Menü) implementiert.     Abstract
    Die technologischen Entwicklungen der 80er und 90er Jahre werden den Bedarf an intelligenten Verfahren in der automatischen Texterschließung und -archivierung sprunghaft steigen lassen. Inzwischen existieren eine Reihe linguistischer Verfahren, die auch große Datenmengen, wie sie in der Büro- und Fachkommunikation auftreten, zu bewältigen helfen. Dabei ist eine wesentliche Zielsetzung, den Anwender von 'technischen' Handhabungen, wie sie die herkömmlichen Informations-Retrieval-Systeme noch erfordern, schrittweise zu entlasten in Richtung auf einen ehe natürlichsprachigen Zugang. Während dabei in den nächsten Jahren 'verstehensorietierte' Ansätze nur in ausgewählten Bereichen zum Einsatz kommen können, werden Verfahren auf morphologisch-syntaktischer Basis die bisherigen oberflächenorientierten Systeme schrittweise ersetzen

    "Rombach präsentiert zur Grundlage seiner Meditationen über das gegenwärtig zukünftige Denken eine in sich erstaunlich konsequente, aber keineswegs gewaltsame Interpretation der gesamten abendländischen Philosophiegeschichte. Freilich treibt er auch Philosophiegeschichte in einem unüblichen Stil. Ebensowenig wie es ihm um eine Bestandsaufnahme der in unserer Zeit publizierten Philosophie geht, zielt er auf die Vermittlung von Kenntnissen über die Philosophie früherer Zeiten ab. Statt dessen fragt er, wie Philosophie als solche und im ganzen nicht nur gegenwärtig ist, sondern je gegenwärtig war. Hinter dieser Frage steht die zentrale These, Philosophie bedeute nicht zu allen Zeiten dasselbe. Damit soll durchaus nicht die banale Tatsache festgestellt werden, daß die Philosophen verschiedener Zeiten zu verschiedenen Ergebnissen gekommen sind. Vielmehr ist Rombachs Meinung die, daß das Wesen der Philosophie epochal geprägt ist, daß sowohl ihr "Standort" wie ihre "Bewegungsform" sich von Epoche zu Epoche wandeln. Diese These ist alles andere als banal, sie ist schockierend und revolutionär."
