Abstract: Metadaten dienen der Beschreibung von Online-Ouellen. Online-Learning braucht fachspezifische Materialien. In diesem Artikel wird die Schnittmenge der beiden betrachtet. Zum einen wird ein Überblick über die Metadaten Standards im Bildungsbereich gegeben, zum anderen werden Beispiele von Portalen angeführt, die (frei verfügbare) Materialien samt Metadatenset anbieten.
