- Abstract
- Das 12. Internationale Symposium für Informationswissenschaft (ISI) greift unter dem Tagungsmotto "Information und Wissen: global, sozial und frei?" zentrale informationswissenschaftliche und informationspraktische Fragestellungen auf und stellt sie in einen aktuellen, wissenschaftlichen und gesellschaftspolitischen Kontext. Der Fokus liegt auf Information und Wissen in einer immer stärker vernetzten, globalisierten Welt. Aspekte der Internationalisierung und Mehrsprachigkeit von Wissensprozessen, Fragen der sozialen und technischen Teilhabe und Anschlussfähigkeit sowie des Zugriffs auf Wissensbestände und deren effektiver Anwendung treten dabei in den Mittelpunkt. Es werden beispielsweise die Rolle von sozialen Netzwerken und Fragen des Zugriffs auf Information und Wissen - im Spagat zwischen Open Access und noch fragilen politischen Entscheidungen im Urheberrecht für Wissenschaft und Bildung - diskutiert. Die Beiträge in diesem Tagungsband beleuchten das Generalthema der Tagung aus vielfältigen thematischen Perspektiven und aus der Sichtweise unterschiedlicher Disziplinen. Dabei werden sowohl aktuelle Themenfelder als auch traditionelle Kernthemen der Informationswissenschaft wie Information Retrieval, Informationsverhalten, Mensch-Maschine-Interaktion sowie deren Evaluierung behandelt. Deutlich rücken auch Themen der Fachinformation bzw. der Informationsinfrastruktur in den Vordergrund.
