    Abstract
    Mittlerweile gehören "mentale Modelle" nicht nur zum festen Begiffsrepertoire der Wissenspsychologie, auch die Forschung zur "artifical intelligence" sowie die Instruktionspsychologie benutzen gern diesen Begriff. Ziel dieses Buches ist es, die verschiedenen theoretischen Ansätze zu mentalen Modellen zusammenzuführen und so ein einheitliches Verständnis ihres Zustandekommens und ihrer Funktion für das menschliche Denken zu begründen.
