- Abstract
- Thema der vorliegenden Arbeit ist die Einführung der Regensburger Verbundklassifikation als Aufstellungsklassifikation in der Bibliothek Orientwissenschaften der Universitätsbibliothek Leipzig. Aufgrund der komplexen Ausgangslage konzipiert die Verfasserin die Einführung der RVK als Projekt unter Anwendung des Verfahrens des Projektmanagements. Projektmanagement wird dabei aus rein betriebswirtschaftlicher Sicht, aber auch als Kern organisationaler Veränderungsprozesse innerhalb der Organisationsentwicklung betrachtet. Organisationsentwicklung schließt ein, was die Diskussion um Produktivität und Effizienz von Bibliotheken oft nicht ausreichend berücksichtigt: den humanen Faktor. Neben den harten Fakten berücksichtigt der vorgelegte Projektplan somit ausdrücklich situative und psychosoziale Prozesse als maßgebliche weiche Dimension des Projektmanagement.

- Abstract
- Die Regensburger Verbundklassifikation (RVK) wurde in den 1960er Jahren als Systematik zur sachlichen Erschließung von Beständen in wissenschaftlichen Bibliotheken, ursprünglich für die internen Belange der Universitätsbibliothek Regensburg, entwickelt. In den darauffolgenden Jahren entschieden sich immer mehr Bibliotheken und Institutionen im deutschsprachigen Raum für den Umstieg auf die RVK. Inzwischen gibt es über 140 Anwender in Deutschland, Österreich, Italien, Liechtenstein und der Schweiz, die ihre Bestände ganz oder teilweise nach RVK systematisieren und aufstellen und die RVK als Instrument zur kooperativen Sacherschließung nutzen. Der Regensburger Klassifikationsverbund ist heute der größte Klassifikationsverbund im deutschsprachigen Raum, von Beginn an koordiniert von der Universitätsbibliothek Regensburg.

Naturgemäß ist die Verbreitung der RVK an Fachhochschulbibliotheken in Bayern am größten (13 von 15), außerhalb Bayerns wenden besonders Fachhochschulbibliotheken in den neuen Bundesländern RVK an. Bei den Fachhochschulen handelt es sich um Neugründungen von Hochschulen seit den 70er Jahren. Häufig wurden bereits bestehende Bildungseinrichtungen wie polytechnische oder Ingenieurschulen, höhere Wirtschaftsschulen, soziale Schulen, Grafikerschulen, Bibliotheksschulen in diese Neugründungen integriert. Entsprechend bauen auch viele Fachhochschulbibliotheken auf Vorläufereinrichtungen auf, verfügen dennoch nur in geringem Maße über Altbestände. Die vordringliche Aufgabe nach Gründung der Fachhochschulbibliotheken lag in der Anhebung der professoralen Büchersammlungen auf ein wissenschaftliches Niveau. Gleichzeitig sollte der Bestand erschlossen und frei zugänglich aufgestellt werden. Dem wissenschaftlichen Anspruch der Hochschulen trug die Ausstattung der Bibliotheken mit Fachpersonal Rechnung, allerdings in einem Maße, das nicht mit dem an Universitätsbibliotheken gleich zu setzen ist. Das wenige Personal muss sich, was die Erschließung des Bestandes angeht, mit einem sehr weit gefassten Fächerspektrum auseinandersetzen - ein Betätigungsfeld auf dem sich Diplombibliothekarinnen und - bibliothekare, mitunter auch Angehörige des mittleren Dienstes seit Jahren aufs Beste bewähren. Fachhochschulbibliotheken haben in der Regel keinen Archivauftrag (höchstens bezogen auf die Hochschule) und verstehen sich als Gebrauchsbibliotheken - dennoch keine öffentlichen, der Allgemeinbildung ihrer Nutzerschaft verpflichtete, sondern wissenschaftliche Bibliotheken aufgrund der Nutzerstruktur - aber auch keine Spezialbibliotheken, vielmehr je nach Umfang der an der jeweiligen Fachhochschule gelehrten Fächer mehr oder weniger universell

- Nachdem die die ADV einsetzende, ihre Literaturbestände in einer Freihandaufstellung präsentierenden Gesamtbibliotheken rund zehn Jahre arbeiten, kann über Erfahrungen mit Buchaufstellungsklassifikationen in wissenschaftlichen Bibliotheken Rechenschaft abgelegt werden. Dies geschieht durch einen Bericht über den arbeitsintensiven Prozeß der Erstellung der 3. Fassung des Systematik der Fachbibliothek Soziologie der UB Bielefeld. - Abstract
- Am 28.2.2007 fand in Salzburg die konstituierende Sitzung der VÖB-Arbeitsgruppe zur Regensburger Verbundklassifikation (RVK) statt. Die erste dringende Aufgabe der neu gegründeten Arbeitsgruppe bestand in der Analyse der bestehenden RVK-Systematik für das deutsche Recht (=Notation "P") und der Ausarbeitung eines für Österreich geeigneten Spezifikationsvorschlages, da sich der Bereich Recht in der RVK für Österreich als nicht zufrieden stellend erwies. Der erste Entwurfeiner RVK-Systematik zum österreichischen Recht betraf den Bereich Ausländisches und vergleichendes Verwaltungsrecht, Ausländische Verwaltungslehre und Verwaltungspolitik/Österreich, mit der Notation PN 981 und beruhte auf einem Vorschlag von Frau DI Elisabeth Lichtenberg-Putz und Herrn Mag. Andre Hensel, beide von der FH-Bibliothek Kärnten. Man einigte sich in der Arbeitsgruppe darauf, nach Möglichkeit die deutschen Notationen zu übernehmen, indem sie an die Österreichische Notation mit einem Punkt angehängt werden. Vereinfacht kann man diese Umsetzung als Punktlösung bezeichnen. Zur besseren Verständlichkeit ein einfaches Beispiel: die bestehende deutsche Notation für Gewerbe und Berufsrecht lautet PN 702 bis PN 739. Die vergleichbare österreichische Notation lautet PN 981.702 bis PN 981.739. Dieses einfache Grundprinzip sollte bei allen RVK Erweiterungen zum Österreichischen Recht berücksichtigt werden. In der Sitzung der Kommission für Sacherschließung vom 19.6.2007 war auch die damalige Leiterin der Koordinationsstelle und Fachreferentin für Recht an der UB Regensburg, Frau Dr. Barbara Leiwesmeyer, als Gast geladen. Sie hat in dieser Sitzung der Vorgangsweise bei PN 981 zugestimmt.

- Systematische Aufstellung bedeutet den offenen Zugang zum größten Teil der vorhandenen Bestände nach sachlicher, dem Benutzer nachvollziehbarer Ordnung. Die heutige Anwendung systematischer Aufstellung im deutschen Bereich ist die Umkehrung eines historischen Prozesses, der sich auf G. Leyh zurückführen läßt. Die offene Aufstellung der Bestände von zentralen Universitätsbibliotheken, wie sie auch in den Institutsbibliotheken gehandhabt wird, bietet dem Benutzer viele Vorteile. - Abstract
- Die Einführung macht mit den Grundbegriffen der bibliothekarischen Klassifikationstheorie und -praxis sowie ausgewählten Bibliotheksklassifikationen bekannt. Eingangs wird die Problemstellung, für die Klassifikationen eine Lösung bieten sollen, umrissen. Dann werden anhand von Fragen die Aspekte zur Entwicklung und Beurteilung von Klassifikationen allgemein und Aufstellungssystematiken im Besonderen umrissen (Sachgerechtheit und Zielgruppenentsprechung, Gliederung, Schlüsselung und Normung, Notation, Klassenbeschreibung und Terminologie, Umfang und Erweiterbarkeit, Anwendungsregeln, Register). Auch organisatorische Aspekte der Anwendung von Klassifikationen werden umrissen. Kurz beschrieben werden ausgewählte Klassifikationen: Die internationale Dezimalklassifikation DK und die DDC, die Regensburger Verbundklassifikation RVK, die Basisklassifikation, die SfB, die KAB, die ASB. Es folgen ausgewählte Literaturhinweise. Ferner werden Übungen zum Klassifizieren ausgewählter Titel mit Hinweisen auf Möglichkeiten zur Selbstüberprüfung und zur Notationsrevision gegeben
