- Abstract
- Obgleich "Wahrheit" ein Thema der Philosophie seit ihren historischen Anfängen war, haben sich mit besonderem Gewicht in der Gegenwart, "Wahrheitstheorien" als eigenes philosophisches Teilgebiet unseres Jahrhunderts etabliert, seit in der Philosophie der sogenannte linguistic turn stattgefunden hat. Auslöser dieser Wende waren einerseits das verstärkte Auseinanderdriften von Philosophie und den sogenannten exakten Wissenschaften (vor allem Mathematik und Physik), andererseits die Entwicklung, daß diese modernen Wissenschaften den Philosophien traditionelle Zuständigkeiten streitig machten, um sogleich, in begriffliche Grundlagenkrisen geratend, neue philosophische Fragen und Probleme zu produzieren. Galt Wahrheit seit der Antike als etwas Absolutes und Unumstößliches, unabhängig davon, ob der Mensch Wahrheit zu erkennen vermag oder nicht, so findet der Wahrheitssuchende heute einen Dschungel von Ansätzen, Vorschlägen, Antworten, Problematisierungen und Skeptizismen. In dieser Situation wählt der Marburger Philosoph Peter Janich einen Mittelweg zwischen Absolutheitsanspruch und bloßem Relativismus, den er die "kulturalistische Lösung" nennt. Denn bei der Besinnung auf die Möglichkeit des Erkennens von Wahrheit stellt sich heraus, daß die Menschheit nicht am Mullpunkt der Wahrheitssuche steht, sondern daß das Fragliche immer relativ zum praktisch Bewährten zu sehen ist. Zugleich stellt sich heraus, daß die Wahrheit kein menschenunabhängiger Selbstzweck ist, sondern daß sie Menschen dazu dient, sich in der Welt einzurichten und zurechtzufinden: In der kulturalistischen Sicht wird Wahrheit vom Selbstzweck zum Mittel.

- Abstract
- Ausgehend von alltäglichen und wissenschaftlichen Sprachgebräuchen, Information mit und ohne Bedeutung und Geltung anzunehmen, werden auf der Grundlage eines explizierten philosophischen Minimalkonsenses (1) die Technisierung und (2) die Naturalisierung des Informationsbegriffs dargestellt. In einer Kritik technischer (Rechner, Schallplatte) und naturwissenschaftlicher (Hirnforschung, Genetik) Beispiele werden Geltung und Semantik informationsbegrifflicher Beschreibungen diskutiert und naturalistische Fehlschlüsse festgestellt. Anschließend wird eine methodisch-kulturalistische Informationstheorie über Aufforderungsdialoge und Forderungen nach Invarianz bezüglich Sprecher-, Hörer- und Darstellungsvertauschung vorgetragen, die bei einer pragmatischen Bewertung des Gelingens sprachlicher Kommunikation beginnt und über Kriterien gelingender technischer Substitution solcher Leistungen für Mensch-Maschine-Verhältnisse Fälle überflüssiger oder falscher von nicht überflüssigen oder wahren informationsbegrifflichen Beschreibungen in Natur- und Technikwissenschaften unterscheidet
