- Abstract
- Vor dem Hintergrund des Aufbaus eines einheitlichen, effizienten und endnutzerorientierten Bundestagsinformationssystems sowie des bevorstehenden Umzugs des Parlaments von Bonn nach Berlin hat der Deutsche Bundestag beschlossen, für die Pressedokumentation ein elektronisches Produktions-, Recherche- und Archivsystem einzuführen. Dort soll neben der Volltextrecherche den Abgeordneten auch die Möglichkeit zu einer qualifizierten Recherche mittels kontrollierter Schlagworte angeboten werden. Auf der Grundlage einer Bestandsaufnahme zur bisherigen konventionellen Arbeitsweise des Pressedokumentation und zu den innerhalb des wissenschaftlichen Dokumentation beim Deutschen Bundestag bereits etablierten Thesauri werden in dem vorliegenden beitrag die sich daraus ergebenden Konsequenzen für die Konzeption des hierzu aufzubauenden Pressethesaurus dargelegt

- Die Thesaurus-Thematik wird zunächst in den Zusammenhang der gesamten Erschließungs- und Retrievalmöglichkeiten eines Information-Retrieval-Systems gestellt. Auf dieser Grundlage wird ein multilinguales Thesaurus-Konzept entwickelt. Wichtige Elemente sind: die Ermöglichung des Zugangs anhand des Benutzervokabulars, eine systematische, transparente Bedeutungsdifferenzierung und eine Basis-Relationierung anhand einer einzigen ("ausgezeichneten") natürlichen Sprache.

- Abstract
- Neuentwicklungen in der realen Welt ziehen Veränderungen in der Begriffswelt nach sich. So haben wir es derzeit beispielsweise nicht mehr nur mit Bibliotheken zu tun, vielmehr hat sich das Anwendungsspektrum des Begriffs in neuer Zeit so erweitert, daß wir von der elektronischen, der virtuellen und der digitalen Bibliothek sprechen, wobei diese Bezeichnungen nicht etwa identisch sind, sondern das jeweils Spezifische zu ihrer Entstehungszeit kennzeichnen. Die genaue Reflektion und Einordnung der modernen Thesaurusentwicklungen auf dem Gebiet der Information und Dokumentation zwingt ebenso zu eindeutigen begrifflichen Abgrenzungen und Benennungen. Bislang hat dies u.a. zu den Begriffen 'Information Retrieval Thesaurus', 'Metathesaurus', 'Macrothesaurus' und nicht zuletzt 'semantischer Thesaurus' geführt, die den Begriff des dokumentarischen Thesaurus jeweils spezifizieren. Mit dem Begriff des semiotischen Thesaurus, der den semantischen, den syntaktischen und insbesondere auch den pragmatischen Aspekt berücksichtigt, kennzeichnen wir nun eine neue Entwicklung, die den Thesaurus stärker auf das Begriffssystem des Endnutzers apliziert und damit einen bisher völlig vernachlässigten Bereich der Thesaurusforschung in das Zentrum der Betrachtung rückt. Angeregt von der Bezeichnung 'semantischer Thesaurus' hat uns die Morris'sche Dreistrahligkeit des Zeichenbegriffs zu dieser Benennung geführt, und wir haben den Begriff des pragmatischen Thesaurus aus der semiotischen Perspektive hergeleitet

- Der Beitrag enthält die Vorstellung des Entwurfs eines neuen Thesaurus-Konzepts, der vom Komitee für Thesaurusforschung der Deutschen Gesellschaft für Dokumentation entwickelt worden ist. In diesem Konzept soll der Thesaurus nicht allein dem Information Retrieval dienen, es soll als terminologisches Werkzeug auf möglichst allen Feldern des 'Linguistic engineering' eingesetzt werden können.

- Abstract
- Die hier aufgeführten Regeln beziehen sich ausschließlich auf hier aufgeführte Relationsarten und die Beziehungen unter ihnen. Die Ergebnisse sind in Zusammenarbeit mit der Thesaurusredaktion des Projekts ATLAS entstanden (ATLAS 1990). Gedanken von Rostek & Fischer (1988), Schäuble (1989), Vanek (1980), Sick (1989) und Konrad (1990) sowie die Empfehlungen der DIN 1463 (1987) wurden mit berücksichtigt. Diese Regeln werden außerdem für die Entwicklung des Textinterpretationssystem ATLAS/ti (Muhr 1990) und ATLAS/PfleSaurus (Willenborg 1991) weiterverwendet. Punkt 1. enthält Definitionen: Thesaurus, Thesaurusrelationen und deren formal logische Eigenschaften. Punkt 2. enthält Konsistenzregeln. Punkt 3. enthält Inferenzregeln. Punkt 4. enthält zwei Beispielthesauri. Ein System zur Erstellung und Pflege von Thesauri solllte die unter Punkt 1.-3. beschriebenen Definitionen und Regeln berücksichtigen.

- Abstract
- Ausgehend vom derzeitigen Wissensstand über Hypertext wird einleitend dargelegt, inwieweit und weshalb Relationen zwischen Begriffen und deren Darstellung ein Teilaspekt von Hypertext (und Wissensbanken) sind. Begriffsrelationen ihrerseits sind in der IuD-Praxis im besonderen Maße als Thesaurusrelationen realisiert. Welche Anforderungen sind an Thesaurusrelationen zu stellen, damit sie als Instrument bei der Generierung von Hypertextrelationen angewendet werden können? Wie steht es eigentlich mit der Definition von Thesaurusrelationsarten (hierarchische vs. nichthierarchische, gerichtete vs. ungerichtete Begriffsrelationen)? Nach einem (notwendigerweise kurzen und zugleich kritischen) Überblick über den Kenntnis- und Erfahrungsstand werden Vorschläge zu einer verbesserten Klassifikation und Definition von Begriffsrelationsarten für den IuD-Bereich gemacht. Die Vorschläge führen zu differenzierteren Möglichkeiten der Darstellung von Netzstrukturen. Die Auswirkungen dieser Erkenntnisse auf die Generierung von Hypertext und von Wissensbanken, insbesondere auf die Darstellung von netzartigen Verknüpfungen, werden abschließend noch einmal erörtert
