- Dieser Katalog umfaßt 1,7 Millionen Karteikarten und verzeichnet das weltweit erschienene, deutschsprachige Schrifttum 1913-1945. Er versteht sich als "Gesamtarchiv des deutschsprachigen Schrifttums". Der Sachkatalog ist ein Gruppenschlagwortkatalog, der die Titel aller in der Deutschen Bibliothek vorhandenen Bücher, Broschüren, Zeitschriften und Hochschulschriften umfaßt. Innerhalb der 10 Hauptgruppen finden sich die Literaturnachweise nach Schlagwörtern alphabetisch geordnet. - 1 Indexband.

- Sprachliche Diskriminierungen bilden sich auf verschiedenen Ebenen im Schlagwortkatalog ab. In unterschiedlichen Ausprägungen finden wir sie sowohl in den Normdaten als auch in der Schlagwortfolge. Ziel des Aufsatzes ist es, die bibliothekarische Inhaltserschließung als soziale Praxis in einen theoretischen Bezugsrahmen einzubetten, um sie einer fundierten Kritik zugänglich zu machen.

- Abstract
- Der Beitrag zeigt am Beispiel der Bibliothek der Frauen*solidarität Strategien gegen Sexismen und Rassismen in der Beschlagwortung auf. Durch die Einbindung der Frauen*solidarität in einen entwicklungspolitischen Verbund und später in den Österreichischen Bibliothekenverbund wird die feministische Erschließungspraxis der Frauen*solidarität in Relation zu den beiden Erschließungsinstrumentarien TWSE und SWD/GND dargestellt.

- Abstract
- In 151 Schachteln wird der älteste große Schlagwortkatalog der Welt aufbewahrt: der "Schrettinger-Katalog". Von 1819 bis 1856 haben die Bibliothekare Martin Schrettinger und Heinrich Foringer rund 84.000 Titel der damaligen Münchner Hofbibliothek alphabetisch nach Themen geordnet und handschriftlich auf 17.000 Folioblättern notiert. Diese Art der Sacherschließung sollte helfen, den großen Zustrom an Büchern in die Hofbibliothek aus der Säkularisationszeit besser zugänglich zu machen. Der "Schrettinger-Katalog" ist bis heute ein praktisches Erschließungsinstrument für die wertwollen Altbestände der Bayerischen Staatsbibliothek, aber auch ein Dokument der Bibliotheksgeschichte und Spiegelbild der frühen Wissenschaftsgeschichte.

- Der 'Schrettinger-Katalog' ist ein handschriftlicher Sachkatalog der Bayerischen Staatbibliothek auf über 17.000 Folioblättern. Von 1819 bis 1856 haben die Bibliothekare Martin Schrettinger (1772-1851) und Heinrich Foringer (1802-1880) ca. 84.000 Titel der damaligen Münchner Hofbibliothek alphabetisch nach Themen geordnet. Diese Art der Sacherschließung sollte helfen, den großen Zustrom an Büchern in die Hofbibliothek aus der Säkularisationszeit besser zugänglich zu machen. Es handelt sich um den ältesten großen Schlagwortkatalog der Welt, der heute in 151 Schachteln aufbewahrt wird. Der 'Schrettinger-Katalog' ist bis heute einerseits ein praktisches Erschließungsinstrument für die wertwollen Altbestände der Bayerischen Staatsbibliothek, aber auch ein Dokument der Bibliotheksgeschichte und gleichzeitig ein Spiegelbild der frühen Wissenschaftsgeschichte.
