- Abstract
- Die Kombination von gleichzeitig mehreren oder vielen intellektuell konstruierten Thesauri und maschineller Indexierung der Texte führt zu einer umfassenderen und spezifischeren Beschreibung von Dokumenten als die intellektuelle Klassifizierung oder die Indexierung allein. Durch die Expansion der Suchfrage um Thesauruseinträge wird der recall deutlich erhöht. Zugleich kann die intellektuelle Klassifizierung in überschaubaren Domänen dazu genutzt werden, baumartig in Dokumentenkollektionen zu navigieren oder die Suche erst in Teilbereichen der Klassifikation zu beginnen, um die precision zu erhöhen. Der Einsatz von Thesauruskollektionen wird an den Beispielen dandelon.com, Landtagsinformationssystem Vorarlberg und der Landeshomepage vorarlberg.at dargestellt.

- Abstract
- Die Zeitdimension spielt im Retrieval oft eine wichtige Rolle. Dennoch ist eine inhaltliche Suche nach der Zeitfacette in Katalogen und anderen Recherchesystemen kaum sinnvoll umgesetzt, da die zugrundeliegenden Erschließungssysteme die Erfassung der Zeitfacette nur unzureichend abbilden. Der Artikel stellt kurz den Status quo dar und entwickelt eine Idee für ein verbessertes Retrieval der Zeitschlagwörter bei der inhaltlichen Erschließung.
