- Abstract
- Ausgehend von bestehenden Verbundmodellen sowie den dabei maßgeblichen Akteuren und Diensten stellt der Beitrag Entwicklungsperspektiven von Verbünden im Kontext WWW-basierter Informationsdienste dar. Dabei werden im ersten Teil Fragen formuliert, die im zweiten Teil unter Hinweis auf die für die Weiterentwicklung von Verbundmodellen maßgeblichen technischen Entwicklungen beantwortet werden. Der zunehmenden wechselseitigen Transparenz von bibliothekarischen Kooperationsmodellen und WWW-Diensten kommt dabei eine Schlüsselrolle zu.

- Abstract
- Seit April 2000 ist die Retrievalseite des Système Universitaire de Documentation operational und der von Pica (Leiden) im Auftrag der Zentrale dieses französischen Verbundes, ABES, realisierte Verbund der französischen Universitätsbibliotheken damit greifbare Realität. Der vorliegende Beitrag skizziert die Ausgangssituation der französischen Universitätsbibliotheken, das Projektprogramm für den Aufbau des Systeme Universitaire, den Projektzeitplan und den derzeit erreichten Realisierungsstand. Der Beitrag schließt mit einer kurzen Darstellung der Kooperationsperspektiven, die sich auf Basis des bereits Erreichten eröffnen

- Abstract
- Die Publikationskultur der hermeneutisch geprägten Geistes-und Sozialwissenschaften unterscheidet sich signifikant von derjenigen der exakten Wissenschaften, sowohl hinsichtlich der Publikationsformate als auch hinsichtlich der Relation von Form und Inhalt. Hinzu kommt der spezifische Bedarf der Geisteswissenschaften an offenen Quellen als Grundlage für Produktion und Rezeption ihrer Ergebnisse. Angesichts der komplexen Herausforderung bei der Neuimplementierung geisteswissenschaftlicher Publikationsformate dürfte dabei der Akzent der Open-Access-Agenda kurzfristig auf der Forderung nach freiem, auch technisch offenem Quellenzugang liegen.
