"Kooperationsvereinbarung zur Systematikpflege der Allgemeinen Systematik für öffentliche Bibliotheken (ASB) und der Klassifikation für Allgemeinbibliotheken (KAB) zwischen dem Berufsverband Information Bibliothek e. V. (BIB), dem Deutscher Bibliotheksverband e. V. (DBV) und der ekz.bibliotheksservice GmbH (ekz). Präambel Aufgrund der Auflösung des EDBI und fehlender, kurzfristig greifender Nachfolgeregelungen vereinbaren BIB, DBV und ekz eine Kooperation zur Wahrnehmung der Pflege der Systematiken ASB und KAB. Alle drei Kooperationspartner sind an der Pflege dieser Systematiken interessiert und wollen im Rahmen ihrer begrenzten Möglichkeiten eine Auffanglösung finden, um das Know-how, die Daten, das Urheberrecht und Akten zur Systematikpflege der letzten Jahre zu sichern, die Neuausgabe der KAB abzuschließen und Verfahren zu entwickeln, um die Systematikpflege zu gewährleisten. Dazu ist das entstehende Kompetenznetzwerk in geeigneter Form einzubeziehen. Im Rahmen dieser gemeinsamen Initiative soll ein langfristiger Weg gefunden werden, um auf pragmatischem Wege eine schrittweise Anpassung beider Systematiken zu erreichen. Eine künftige Erweiterung der Kooperation auf weitere Standardsystematiken öffentlicher Bibliotheken ist vorstellbar. § 1 Zweck Zweck dieser Kooperationsvereinbarung ist die laufende Aktualisierung der ASB und der KAB. Darüber hinaus können bei Einvernehmen der Vertragspartner alle Vorhaben mit einbezogen werden, die dem Einsatz dieser Systematiken in der Praxis und in zentralen Dienstleistungen sowie der Verbreitung der Systematiken dienlich sind.
