    Abstract
    Diese Arbeit befasst sich mit den praktischen Aspekten des Automatischen Klassifizierens bibliographischer Referenzdaten. Im Vordergrund steht die konkrete Vorgehensweise anhand des eigens zu diesem Zweck entwickelten Open Source-Programms COBRA "Classification Of Bibliographic Records, Automatic". Es werden die Rahmenbedingungen und Parameter f¨ur einen Einsatz im bibliothekarischen Umfeld geklärt. Schließlich erfolgt eine Auswertung von Klassifizierungsergebnissen am Beispiel sozialwissenschaftlicher Daten aus der Datenbank SOLIS.

    Abstract
    Die Arbeit geht dem Status quo der unternehmensweiten Suche in österreichischen Großunternehmen nach und beleuchtet Faktoren, die darauf Einfluss haben. Aus der Analyse des Ist-Zustands wird der Bedarf an Enterprise-Search-Software abgeleitet und es werden Rahmenbedingungen für deren erfolgreiche Einführung skizziert. Die Untersuchung stützt sich auf eine im Jahr 2009 durchgeführte Onlinebefragung von 469 österreichischen Großunternehmen (Rücklauf 22 %) und daran anschließende Leitfadeninterviews mit zwölf Teilnehmern der Onlinebefragung. Der theoretische Teil verortet die Arbeit im Kontext des Informations- und Wissensmanagements. Der Fokus liegt auf dem Ansatz der Enterprise Search, ihrer Abgrenzung gegenüber der Suche im Internet und ihrem Leistungsspektrum. Im empirischen Teil wird zunächst aufgezeigt, wie die Unternehmen ihre Informationen organisieren und welche Probleme dabei auftreten. Es folgt eine Analyse des Status quo der Informati-onssuche im Unternehmen. Abschließend werden Bekanntheit und Einsatz von Enterprise-Search-Software in der Zielgruppe untersucht sowie für die Einführung dieser Software nötige Rahmenbedingungen benannt. Defizite machen die Befragten insbesondere im Hinblick auf die übergreifende Suche im Unternehmen und die Suche nach Kompetenzträgern aus. Hier werden Lücken im Wissensmanagement offenbar. 29 % der Respondenten der Onlinebefragung geben zu-dem an, dass es in ihren Unternehmen gelegentlich bis häufig zu Fehlentscheidungen infolge defizitärer Informationslagen kommt. Enterprise-Search-Software kommt in 17 % der Unternehmen, die sich an der Onlinebefragung beteiligten, zum Einsatz. Die durch Enterprise-Search-Software bewirkten Veränderungen werden grundsätzlich posi-tiv beurteilt. Alles in allem zeigen die Ergebnisse, dass Enterprise-Search-Strategien nur Erfolg haben können, wenn man sie in umfassende Maßnahmen des Informations- und Wissensmanagements einbettet.

    Abstract
    Momentan verbreitete Methoden zur Strukturierung von Information können ihre Aufgabe immer schlechter befriedigend erfüllen. Der Grund dafür ist das explosive Wachstum menschlichen Wissens. Diese Diplomarbeit schlägt als einen möglichen Ausweg die Verwendung assoziativer semantischer Netzwerke vor. Maschinelles Wissensmanagement kann wesentlich intuitiver und einfacher benutzbar werden, wenn man sich die Art und Weise zunutze macht, mit der das menschliche Gehirn Informationen verarbeitet (im Speziellen assoziative Verbindungen). Der theoretische Teil dieser Arbeit diskutiert verschiedene Aspekte eines möglichen Designs eines semantischen Netzwerks mit assoziativen Verbindungen. Außer den Grundelementen und Problemen der Visualisierung werden hauptsächlich Verbesserungen ausgearbeitet, welche ein leistungsstarkes Arbeiten mit einem solchen Netzwerk erlauben. Im praktischen Teil wird ein Netzwerk-Prototyp mit den wichtigsten herausgearbeiteten Merkmalen implementiert. Die Basis der Applikation bildet der Hyperwave Information Server. Dieser detailiiertere Design-Teil gewährt tieferen Einblick in Software Requirements, Use Cases und teilweise auch in Klassendetails. Am Ende wird eine kurze Einführung in die Benutzung des implementierten Prototypen gegeben.

    Abstract
    Zum Wintersemester 2010/11 wurde von der Universitätsbibliothek der Freien Universität Berlin das neue Bibliotheksportal Primo eingeführt, das auf der gleichnamigen Software der Firma Ex Libris basiert. Zunächst in einem "soft launch" als Betaversion live geschaltet, soll es in naher Zukunft den derzeitigen Katalog und die Digitale Bibliothek als Suchoberflächen ersetzen. Diese Situation bot einen optimalen Ausgangspunkt für eine Studie zur Usability des neuen Portals, da deren Ergebnisse direkt in die Neugestaltung der Relaunch-Version einfließen können. Um verschiedene Arten von Usability-Problemen des Bibliotheksportal Primo zu identifizieren, haben sich die Autorinnen einer Methodenkombination bedient. Zum einen wurde eine Heuristische Evaluation und zum anderen 20 Usability-Tests der deutschsprachigen Oberfläche des Portals durchgeführt. Die detaillierte Darstellung der so festgestellten Usability-Probleme bildet den Kern der Arbeit. Als Basis für das Verständnis des Systems und der methodischen Vorgehensweise, wird außerdem Primo im Kontext der "Neuen Kataloge" und deren Funktionalitäten näher beleuchtet, sowie die theoretischen Grundlagen der in der Arbeit verwendeten Methoden der Usability-Evaluation dargestellt.

    Abstract
    Nach der Herleitung und Skizzierung der 'szenariobasierten Delphi-Studie' als Untersuchungsmethode und Präsentation des Forschungsdesigns werden Konzepte von Wissensmanagement über einen Literatur- Review in den Kontext des aktuellen Forschungsstandes gestellt. Diese Bestandsaufnahme der Gegenwart ist in erster Linie abgeleitet aus Fachveröffentlichungen zum Wissensmanagement im Allgemeinen und denen der BID-Community im Besonderen. Welche Rolle spielt Wissensmanagement gegenwärtig in der bibliothekarischen Praxis Öffentlicher Bibliotheken der im Untersuchungsfokus stehenden Nationen? Was verbindet die Arbeit mit Wissensmanagement in den Öffentlichen Bibliotheken der beiden Nationen und (wo) sind Unterschiede zu finden? Diese Verifizierung des Status quo ist nur ein Teil der vorliegenden Arbeit, Schwerpunkt bildet der Blick in die kommende Zeit. Hat Wissensmanagement eine Zukunft in der Öffentlichen Bibliothek? Wenn ja, wie sieht diese aus und in welcher Intention wird Wissensmanagement eingesetzt? Stellt es mehr als nur ein Instrument der innerbetrieblichen Organisationsoptimierung dar? Wird Wissensmanagement im Sinne des Erwerbs von Demokratiekompetenz an den Endkunden quasi als Werkzeugkoffer weitergegeben? Hilft es den Öffentlichen Bibliotheken im Sinne einer systemischen kommunalen Legitimierung? Mit den Methoden Szenariotechnik und Delphi-Studie werden auf Basis der Aussagen ausgewählter Wissensexperten aus den Großstadtbibliotheken beider Länder Trendprojektionen erstellt, die ihrerseits in einem die Studie abschließenden konsensualen Szenario münden. Auf dem Weg dorthin werden im Laufe von iterativen Befragungen zudem für die Praxis adaptierbare Handlungsoptionen für die Öffentliche Bibliothek der Zukunft generiert und anhand ausgewählter Expertenaussagen im Sinne von Best-Practise-Beispielen und -Ideen in die Arbeit integriert. Wissensmanagement, so das Ergebnis der Untersuchung, der professionelle Umgang mit der Ressource Wissen in den Dimensionen Individuelles, Internes, Externes und Systemisches Wissensmanagement, findet bereits gegenwärtig in Öffentliche Bibliotheken statt; Wissensmanagement wird, so konstatieren die Wissensexperten weiter, zudem sowohl in Großbritannien als auch in Deutschland zukünftig als andauernde Querschnittsaufgabe jeder Öffentlichen Bibliothek angesehen und mit unterschiedlicher Intensität, unter heterogenen Rahmenbedingungen, aber immer mit vielversprechendem Erfolg betrieben werden.

    Abstract
    Der Anreiz und das Potential von Informationsvisualisierungen wird bereits häufig erkannt und der Wunsch nach deren Anwendung immer stärker. Gerade im Bereich des Wissensmanagements spielt dieses Gebiet eine immer wichtigere Rolle. Diese Arbeit beschäftigt sich mit Informationsvisualisierung im Semantic Web und vermittelt einen Überblick über aktuelle Entwicklungen zum Thema Knowledge Visualization. Zun¨achst werden grundlegende Konzepte der Informationsvisualisierung vorgestellt und deren Bedeutung in Hinblick auf das Wissensmanagement erklärt. Aus den Anforderungen, die das Semantic Web an die Informationsvisualisierungen stellt, lassen sich Kriterien ableiten, die zur Beurteilung von Visualisierungstechniken herangezogen werden können. Die ausgewählten Kriterien werden im Rahmen dieser Arbeit zu einem Kriterienkatalog zusammengefasst. Schließlich werden ausgewählte Werkzeuge beschrieben, die im Wissensmanagement bereits erfolgreich Anwendung finden. Die einzelnen Untersuchungsobjekte werden nach einer detailierten Beschreibung anhand der ausgewählten Kriterien analysiert und bewertet. Dabei wird besonders auf deren Anwendung im Kontext des Semantic Web eingegangen.

    Abstract
    Semantische Netze unterstützen den Suchvorgang im Information Retrieval. Über ihre vielfältigen Relationen und Inferenzen unterstützen sie den Anwender und helfen Daten im Kontext zu präsentieren und zu erfassen. Die Relationen ermöglichen Suchanfragen die große Treffermengen produzieren zu verfeinern und so Treffermengen zu erreichen die möglichst genau das enthalten was gesucht wurde. Es wird, anhand eines Ausschnitts des Datenbestands des Haus der Geschichte der Bundesrepublik Deutschland in Bonn, aufgezeigt wie bestehende Datenbestände in semantische Netze überführt werden können und wie diese anschließend für das Retrieval eingesetzt werden können. Für die Modellierung des semantischen Netz wird die Open Source Software Protégé in den Versionen 3.4.4. und 4.1_beta eingesetzt, die Möglichkeiten des Retrieval werden anhand der Abfragesprachen DL Query und SPARQL sowie anhand der Software Ontology Browser und OntoGraf erläutert.

    Abstract
    Ziel: Ziel dieser Bachelorarbeit war es, die Übertragbarkeit der allgemeinen Rankingfaktoren, wie sie von Web-Suchmaschinen verwendet werden, auf Discovery-Systeme zu analysieren. Dadurch könnte das bisher hauptsächlich auf dem textuellen Abgleich zwischen Suchanfrage und Dokumenten basierende bibliothekarische Ranking verbessert werden. Methode: Hierfür wurden Faktoren aus den Gruppen Popularität, Aktualität, Lokalität, Technische Faktoren, sowie dem personalisierten Ranking diskutiert. Die entsprechenden Rankingfaktoren wurden nach ihrer Vorkommenshäufigkeit in der analysierten Literatur und der daraus abgeleiteten Wichtigkeit, ausgewählt. Ergebnis: Von den 23 untersuchten Rankingfaktoren sind 14 (61 %) direkt vom Ranking der Web-Suchmaschinen auf das Ranking der Discovery-Systeme übertragbar. Zu diesen zählen unter anderem das Klickverhalten, das Erstellungsdatum, der Nutzerstandort, sowie die Sprache. Sechs (26%) der untersuchten Faktoren sind dagegen nicht übertragbar (z.B. Aktualisierungsfrequenz und Ladegeschwindigkeit). Die Linktopologie, die Nutzungshäufigkeit, sowie die Aktualisierungsfrequenz sind mit entsprechenden Modifikationen übertragbar.

    Abstract
    Ergebnisse einer Umfrage über die Anwendung des Datenbankprogramms CDS/ISIS in der Bundesrepublik Deutschland. Von 130 angeschriebenem deutschen ISIS-Lizenznehmern haben 42 geantwortet, die das Programm nicht anwenden und 20, die es anwenden. Deren Verhalten, Gründe für die Nicht-Nutzung und verwirklichte Anwendungen wurden ausführlich untersucht und dargelegt.Auf eine allgemeine Auswertung hin folgt ein Überblick über das ISIS-Anwendungsspektrum mit konkreten Einzeldarstellungen aller Anwender. Im ersten Teil werden Hauptmerkmale und -funktionen des leistingsfähigen Programm beschrieben und bewertet, außerdem Bedeutung und Verbreitung in anderen Ländern kurz vorgestellt
