- Abstract
- Es wird ein Überblick gegeben, wie sich die Veränderungen sich im Bereich der Informationsverarbeitung und -technik auf die Gestaltung von Studienkonzepten im Bereich Wissensorganisation und Information Retrieval in deutschen bibliothekarischen Ausbildungseinrichtungen ausgewirkt haben. Dabei wird unterschieden in Bereiche der Veränderungen und in Bereiche der Stabilität. Die Bereiche der Veränderungen lassen sich den Verfahren und Anwendungen in der Praxis zuordnen. Sie sind zum einen geprägt durch eine integrative Sicht auf Indexierung und Information Retrieval und lassen sich zum anderen durch folgende Trends charakterisieren: - Von Katalogen zu OPACs und WebOPACs - Von der Katalogisierung zum intelligenten Information Retrieval und Suchmaschinen mit benutzerfreundlichen Interaktionsschnittstellen - Vom lokalen Katalog zum kooperativen Erschließen und Retrieval in heterogenen Netzen - Von intellektueller zu automatischer Indexierung - Von Regelwerken zu strukturierten Beschreibungsebenen (z.B. Metadaten) - Von Beschreibung und Bewertung zu Entwicklungen und Produktdesign Die Bereiche der Stabilität lassen sich der Theorie und den Methoden zuordnen und sind durch folgende Themen beschreibbar: - Grundlagen der Wissensorganisation und Informationserschließung (z.B. in Philosophie, Linguistik, Informatik, Kognitionspsychologie) - Grundlagen der Gestaltung von Dokumentationssprachen - Grundlagen des Information Retrieval

- Abstract
- Seit dem Sommersemester 2003 bietet die Fachhochschule Köln den Bachelor-Studiengang Online-Redakteur an. Die Regelstudienzeit beträgt sechs Semester, nach erfolgreichem Abschluss wird den Studierenden der Bachelor of Arts (B.A.) verliehen. Der Studiengang kombiniert die Bereiche Journalistik, Informationswissenschaft, Öffentlichkeitsarbeit und Web-Design. Im Februar 2005 ging die Website www.koeln-sued-stadt.de online, ein umfangreiches Content-Projekt das die 30 Studierenden im vierten Semester gemeinsam durchführten. Hier zeigte sich, dass Online Redakteure zur Realisierung einer Website unterschiedliche Fähigkeiten in den Bereichen Konzeption, Visualisierung, technische Umsetzung und inhaltliche Gestaltung anwenden und kombinieren müssen. Der Schwerpunkt des Südstadt-Projektes lag dabei auf der Erstellung von Content, also der Recherche und der journalistischen Aufbereitung von Informationen für das Web.

- Das EconBiz Academic Career Kit ist ein interaktives Online-Tutorial für den wissenschaftlichen Nachwuchs in den Wirtschaftswissenschaften. In drei Modulen geht es um die Themen: erste Veröffentlichung, Open Access, Predatory Journals und Urheberrecht - Wissenschaftskommunikation, kollaboratives Arbeiten, Networking und Metriken - Forschungsdatenmanagement. Angebote der Vermittlung von Informationskompetenz sind in diesen Feldern und für diese Zielgruppe in Deutschland noch nicht flächendeckend verbreitet. Darum - und weil Forschende sich zu diesen Fragen meist im Netz informieren - ist das Academic Career Kit als OER unter der Lizenz CC-BY veröffentlicht und damit zur Bearbeitung und Weiterverwendung durch Dritte freigegeben.

Berlin, 15. November 2016. Der Vorstand der Deutschen Mathematiker-Vereinigung fasst seine Position zur "Bildungsoffensive zur digitalen Wissensgesellschaft" wie folgt zusammen. Um die technischen, wirtschaftlichen und gesellschaftlichen Herausforderungen der Digitalisierung zu meistern, muss auf allen Ebenen der Bildung gehandelt werden. Wir begrüßen den Willen der deutschen Bildungspolitik, ihren Handlungsspielraum auf diesem Feld zu nutzen. Mit ihrer gegenwärtigen Schwerpunktsetzung schafft die "Bildungsoffensive zur digitalen Wissensgesellschaft" aus unserer Sicht allerdings eine Scheinlösung und könnte ihr Ziel verfehlen. Deshalb plädieren wir dafür, den Schwerpunkt der Debatte und der "Offensive" zu verschieben. Ziel sollte sein, grundlegende Kompetenzen zu vermitteln, die Lernende zu einem mündigen Umgang mit digitalen Neuerungen befähigen. Wir fordern: Inhalte statt Geräte!
Tablets und soziale Netzwerke verwenden zu können, heißt noch lange nicht, den digitalen Wandel zu meistern. Vollständig digital kompetent ist und bleibt auf lange Sicht nur, wer die theoretischen Grundlagen versteht. Diese Grundlagen entstehen nicht als Nebeneffekt beim Lernen mit digitalen Medien, sondern müssen separat und fokussiert im Unterricht vermittelt werden. Digitale Medien können und sollten hierzu nur ergänzend eingesetzt werden. Nach Erfahrung der überwältigenden Mehrheit der Mathematikerinnen und Mathematiker weltweit sind Tafel, Papier und das direkte Unterrichtsgespräch meist viel besser geeignet. Auch dürfen diese Grundlagen nicht allein Hochbegabten oder digital Affinen vorbehalten bleiben, sondern müssen Teil der Allgemeinbildung werden. Ohne die vorherige Vermittlung dieser Grundlagen ist die Belieferung von Bildungseinrichtungen mit Soft- und Hardware hingegen eine Scheinlösung. Bleiben die richtigen Lerninhalte aus, hemmt sie sogar den Anstieg der Digitalisierungskompetenz in Deutschland. Stattdessen wird die Lernzeit der Lernenden überfrachtet, und oberflächlich sinnvolle Inhalte verdrängen den Erwerb von Grundlagen.
Wir halten es daher für fehlgeleitet, an erster Stelle in digitale Medien zu investieren. Reduziert man Digitalisierungskompetenz auf den Umgang mit digitalen Medien, so glaubt man irrig, Digitalisierungskompetenz entstehe erschöpfend im Lernen mithilfe digitaler Medien. Das Gegenteil ist aber richtig: Erst die auf Grundlagen sorgfältig aufbauende Digitalkompetenz kann das enorme Potenzial moderner Hard- und Software voll nutzen! Digitale Medien sollten nicht um ihrer selbst willen und auf Kosten der Zukunft Lernender gefördert werden. Wir fordern über die föderalen Hemmnisse hinweg, die allgemeinen Rahmenbedingungen für die Bildung zu verbessern. Wir fordern den Unterricht in den Fächern Mathematik und Informatik zu stärken und nicht weiter auszudünnen, damit hier die grundlegende und langfristige Digitalisierungskompetenz vermittelt werden kann. Wir fordern, die Lehrerbildung in diesen Bereichen substanziell zu verbessern. Wir fordern, analytisches Denken gezielt zu lehren und diesem Anliegen Priorität zu geben." - Abstract
- Der Beitrag diskutiert Aspekte des Paradigmenwechsels in der Bibliotheks- und Informationswissenschaft mit besonderer Betonung der internationalen Verflechtungen. Diskutiert werden die Wandlungen des Berufsbildes und die daraus folgenden Auswirkungen für die Ausbildung. Einige internationale Lösungen für grundsätzliche Probleme moderner Informationsvermittlung werden dargestellt. Problematisch ist die geringe Kompetenz der Politik für unserArbeitsfeld und das geringe Selbstbewusstsein der Informationsvermittler. Zuletzt werden einige Vorschläge für kreative Entwicklung des Berufsstandes gegeben.

- Abstract
- Gutes Indexieren erfordert verschiedene Begabungen und Fertigkeiten. Obwohl einige davon angeboren sind, ist ein Training in den Prinzipien und Techniken des Indexierens unentbehrlich für den beruflichen Erfolg als Indexer. Der Lehrgang der Society of Indexers, der zur Qualifizierung eines akkreditierten Indexers führt, basiert auf britischen und internationalen Normen und besteht aus vier Lehrgangseinheiten. Die Beurteilung geschieht durch vier formale Tests, und die Lehrgangsteilnehmer müssen außerdem Online-Tutorials durcharbeiten und einen praktischen Indexierungs-Auftrag übernehmen. Für die Lehrgangsteilnehmer steht zusätzliche Unterstützung zur Verfügung und ein Workshop-Programm ist auf die Belange der Lehrgangsteilnehmer und der beteiligten Indexer zugeschnitten.

- Abstract
- Der Artikel beschreibt die inhaltliche Konzeption und die praktische Organisation der informationswissenschaftlichen Lehre an der Universität Hildesheim. Im Zentrum des Artikels stehen dabei Zielsetzung, Struktur und Inhalte des konsekutiven Bachelor- und Master-Studiengangs "Internationales Informationsmanagement" (IIM) an der Universität Hildesheim. Es werden aber auch die Beiträge der Informationswissenschaft zu der Lehre in anderen Studiengängen der Universität Hildesheim aufgezeigt. Bei der Beschreibung des Studiengangs "Internationales Informationsmanagement" legt der Artikel dabei den Schwerpunkt auf die informationswissenschaftlichen Teildisziplinen. Er diskutiert die Prinzipien der Auswahl der informationswissenschaftlichen Studieninhalte und zeigt das Zusammenwirken unterschiedlicher Lehrveranstaltungsformen, die für ihre Vermittlung gewählt wurden. Ein besonderer Aspekt stellt dabei die Internationalisierung des Studiums dar, dem das Institut für Informationswissenschaft und Sprachtechnologie große Bedeutung beimisst.

- Abstract
- Hat sich aus der Sicht der Keynote-Speaker und Referenten seit ihrem Auftritt auf der Buchmesse-Veranstaltung "Steilvorlagen für den Unternehmenserfolg" einiges verändert? Wir haben sie gefragt. Keynote-Speaker Prof. Bern Jörs lehrt Informationswissenschaft an der Hochschule Darmstadt und wurde von seinen Studierenden wiederholt zum Professor des Jahres gewählt. Nachdem er vor zwei Jahren eine Brand- und Warnrede gehalten hatte, stellt er heute fest: In Ausbildung und Weiterbildung und in der Informationswissenschaft allgemein ist alles noch schlimmer geworden.

- Abstract
- Die Zielsetzung des Managements der Ressource Wissen stößt auf zahlreiche Problemstellungen unterschiedlichster Art: mangelnde Vertrauensbasis und -kultur, psychosoziale Widerstände, inadäquate Infra- oder Organisationsstruktur, fehlende »Soft Skills« der Mitarbeiter, beschränkt taugliche Controlling-Instrumente und vieles mehr. Der/ die Wissensmanager/-in bzw. Top-Manager/-in, der/die die Herausforderung der bewussten »Bewirtschaftung« des verfügbaren Know-hows aktiv annimmt, findet sich vor einer vielschichtigen, transdisziplinären Problemstellung wieder. Ein postgradualer Lehrgang Wissensmanagement muss die Grundlagen zur Lösung dieser Problemstellungen beinhalten. Er soll Personen im mittleren und Top-Management und (zukünftigen) Wissensmanager/-innen wissenschaftlich und empirisch fundierte Kenntnisse für die erfolgreiche Planung, Umsetzung und Evaluierung von Wissensmanagementprojekten vermitteln. Für den neuen Universitätslehrgang Wissensmanagement (http://www.tim.donau-uni.ac.avIgwm/) an der Donau-Universität Krems wurde mit Unterstützung eines internationalen Expertenkreises ein Curriculum entwickelt, das die als wesentlich erachteten Disziplinen umfasst. Er wird im Sinne eines Monitoring empirisch begleitet durch die Befragung von Teilnehmern/-innen bzw. Managern/-innen, um die Praxistauglichkeit der angebotenen Inhalte sowohl vor als auch nach Beginn und Absolvierung des Lehrganges zu evaluieren. Ziele dieses Projektes sind (a) die Identifikation der Hürden für die Wissensgenerierung; (b) die Definition eines Spektrums daraus abgeleiteter Qualifikationen für Manager/-innen in Organisationen. Die daraus resultierende Studie wird aufbauend auf empirischen Ergebnissen und dem aktuellen Stand der Wissenschaft ein Spektrum von Kompetenzen und entsprechenden Qualifikationskriterien für Wissensmanager/-innen in mittleren und großen Unternehmen entworfen. Die ersten Ergebnisse dieses Projektes werden im Vortrag vorgestellt. Der Lehrgang berücksichtigt in einem ausgewogenen Verhältnis jene interdisziplinären Ebenen, die auf dem Weg zu einer wissensorientierten und lernenden Organisation zu berücksichtigen sind: Geschäftsund Wissensmanagementprozesse; Unternehmens- und Wissenskultur; Informations- und Kommunikationstechnik. Weiters wird das Management expliziter Information (information und Dokumentation, Informationswissenschaften) als Teilbereich des Wissensmanagements verstanden. Synergien und kreative Potenziale in Kombination mit dem Lehrgang Bibliotheks- und Informationsmanagernent werden in diesem Sinne durch die Lehrgangsleitung gezielt gefördert. Der Lehrgang umfasst folgende Themenbereiche: Konzepte und Grundlagen des Wissensmanagements; Mensch und Organisation (Instrumente und Praktiken des Wissensmanagements, Kommunikationsmanagement, Psychologie, Coaching, Messung und Controlling, etc.); Technologie (Wissensrepräsentation, Dokumentenmanagement, ) >Business Intelligence<, Competitive Intelligence etc.); Etablierung des Wissensmanagements (Projektmanagement, Case Studies); Master Thesis
