    Abstract
    Der Artikel enthält eine kritische Sicht des Fachinformationsprogramms 1985-1988 der Bundesregierung, ein halbes Jahr nach seiner Veröffentlichung. Das Programm ist nur beschränkt ein Programm. Das ganze Gebiet der Information in einer modernen Gesellschaft umfaßt es nicht: Information im Sinne der Informationswissenschaft. Der ökonomische Grundansatz schneidet kreative Bereiche der Fachinformation (z.B. der Geistes- und Sozialwissenschaften) heraus. Politischer Planungsbedarf zur Gestaltung einer Informationsgesellschaft bleibt bestehen
