    Abstract
    Wissen Sie, wie sich zukünftig Bibliografien, Kataloge und OPACs bedienen lassen? Wenn wir über die Zukunft von Bibliografien, Katalogen und OPACs nachdenken, denken wir dann zunächst an Medien verzeichnisse oder an offene, kommunikative Webportale, die es jedem ermöglichen, sich nach Art des Web 2.0 an der Erfassung der bibliografischen Daten zu beteiligen? Wenn wir mediale Internet angebote des Web 2.0 genauer betrachtet, bieten diese meh als lediglich die Verzeichnung von Medien. Es zeigt sich, dass angesichts aktueller Entwicklungen in Richtung Web 2.0 die Frage neu gestellt werden sollte, in welcher Form zukünftig mediografische Portale ihren Nutzen haben könnten. Beispielsweise könnte ein OPAC 2.0 jedem Interessenten einen individuellen Zugang zu einem Informationsraum offerieren, der sich funktionell ganz den eigenen Bedürfnissen und Wünschen des Bibliotheksnutzers anpasst und nicht nur Zugang zu Informationen ermöglicht, sondern auch vollmedialen Zugriff, inhaltliche Verweisfunktionen, erweiterten Service sowie Kommunikationsfunktionen. Die Antwort lautet also, dass Archive und Bibliotheken mehr über mediografische Portale nachden ken sollten und nicht über Bibliografien, Kataloge und OPACs! Eine darauf folgend wichtige Frage ist, ob diese Portale sowohl inhaltlich als auch funktionell nicht nur unseren Archiv und Bibliotheksnutzern mehr Service bieten, sondern auch einen höheren Zweck für Archive und Bibliotheken selbst darstellen? Die Online Techniken des Web 2.0 und dessen Portale offerieren virtuelle Welten und neue Möglichkeiten zum Aktiv und Produktivsein, also insgesamt zum Proaktivsein unserer Nutzer. Die Betrachtung solcher Internetangebote zeigt, dass sich mediografische Angebote bereits in einer Entwicklung befinden. Doch wenn es eine solche Entwicklung gibt, muss überlegt werden, wie Archive und Bibliotheken sich hierbei einbringen können. Somit zeichnet sich bei diesem Thema eine Brisanz ab. Denn zu bedenken ist, dass mediografische Daten bereits in Rechercheergebnissen bei Online-Datenbanken, Internet Suchmaschinen, Online Enzyklopädien oder anderen Angeboten eine Rolle spielen.

    Im vergangenen Herbst hat die Stadt- und Regionalbibliothek Frankfurt an der Oder ihren dritten Medientag veranstaltet - erstmals in Kooperation mit dem Verein deutscher Bibliothekare Berlin-Brandenburg, um so vor allem Fachkollegen zu erreichen. Im Mittelpunkt standen neue Techniken und web-Angebote für Bibliotheken.

    Folgende Neuerungen im Web2.0-Opac stehen den Lesern zur Verfügung: - Durch Mashups können weitere Informationen zu Suchworten oder markierten Begriffen aufgespürt werden in Wikipedia, Google-Buchsuche, You-Tube, Amazon. - Ein Rating erlaubt den Lesern die Bewertung einzelner Medien mit Sternen und die Empfehlung an Freunde per E-Mail. - Mit Social Bookmarks (Links zu Facebook, Twitter, MySpace, Mr. Wrong, et cetera) gelangen Leser per Mausklick zum Medium in ihrer Bibliothek. Merklisten können weitergegeben oder veröffentlicht werden. - Bibliotheks-News und Informationen zum Leserkonto sind per RSS-Feed zu abonnieren.

    Abstract
    Der Artikel betrachtet anhand einer Studie zum Benutzerverhalten bei der Online-Katalogrecherche den gegenwärtigen Stellenwert und das zukünftige Potential der Web-OPACs. Dabei werden zunächst die Ergebnisse einer quantitativen Logfile-Analyse sowie qualitativer Benutzertests erörtert, bevor aktuelle Entwicklungen der Webtechnologie, die unter den Schlagworten Web 2.0 und Web 3.0 propagiert werden, im Zusammenhang mit der Online-Recherche und der Entwicklung neuartiger Suchverfahren kurz diskutiert werden.

    Abstract
    Der Beitrag analysiert die Entstehungsgeschichte von bibliothekarischen Discovery-Systemen in Wissenschaftlichen Bibliotheken, mit einem Fokus auf Bibliotheken in Deutschland. Hierfür dient der Hype-Zyklus als Rahmen, um vor allem auch auf die Erwartungen und Rezeption der Systeme in bibliothekarischen Kreisen einzugehen und diese zu diskutieren. Der Beitrag liefert außerdem einen Ausblick auf künftige Potenziale von Discovery-Systemen, auch im Kontext von forschungsnahen Dienstleistungen.

    Abstract
    Die 40 im i.d.a.-Dachverband zusammengeschlossenen Bibliotheken, Archive und Dokumentations-stellen in Deutschland, Österreich, Luxemburg, Italien und der Schweiz verfügen über einzigartige Archivbestände zu Aktivistinnen und Organisationen aus den verschiedenen Phasen und Richtungen der Frauenbewegung des 19. und 20. Jahrhunderts. Darüber hinaus stellen sie umfassende Literatur zu Frauenbewegungen, Frauen- und Geschlechterforschung, lesbischer und queerer Theorie und Belletristik bereit. Im Zuge des vom BMFSJ finanzierten META-Projekts wurde in drei Jahren der META-Katalog geschaffen, der den Großteil der digital verfügbaren Metadaten aus den verschiedenen Einrichtungen nachweist. Trotz der unterschiedlichen Ausgangslagen der Einrichtungen (Einrichtungstypus, Sammlungsschwerpunkt, technische Ausstattung) ist es gelungen ein Nachweisinstrument zu schaffen, dass den Nutzenden ein homogenes Nutzungserlebnis ermöglicht.

    Abstract
    Dieser Artikel beschreibt die vom Autor entwickelte und an der Universitäts- und Stadtbibliothek Köln (USB) seit 1997 in verschiedenen Projekten eingesetzte Open-Source-Portalsoftware OpenBib. Nach einem grundlegenden Einblick in die Ursprünge, Technik und konkreten Einsatzgebiete an der USB werden weitergehende Funktionen des Portals erläutert, wie RSS-Feeds, Mashups, Tagging, Tag-Clouds, Nutzungsanalysen, Drilldowns sowie Kataloganreicherung. Viele davon sind charakteristisch für einen OPAC 2.0.

    Abstract
    Bibliotheken stehen heute mehr denn je vor der Frage, wie sie ihre Dienste attraktiv gestalten können. Da liegt es nahe, Nutzerinnen und Nutzer aktiv in den Designprozess einzubinden. Die Neuentwicklung des KOBV-Portals (http://portal.kobv.de), einer regionalen Suche über die Bestände der Bibliotheken in Berlin und Brandenburg, geht konsequent den Weg des Co-Designs. Nutzerinnen und Nutzer werden als Entwicklungspartner verstanden. Als Projektpartner wurde das Institut für Bibliotheks- und Informationswissenschaft (IBI) der Humboldt-Universität zu Berlin gewonnen.

    Abstract
    Das Exzellenzcluster Kognitive Interaktionstechnologie (CITEC) an der Universität Bielefeld beschäftigt sich seit 2013 mit der virtuellen Realität (VR). Ausgehend von konkreten Projektkooperationen (Publikations- und Forschungsdatenmanagement) mit der Universitätsbibliothek ist die Idee entstanden, mit der in 2016 neu angebotenen Konsumer-VR-Hardware die im Labor entwickelten Interaktionstechniken auf geeignete Szenarien im Bereich von bibliothekarischen Umgebungen anzuwenden. Als interessantes Anwendungsgebiet kristallisierte sich im gemeinsamen Diskurs die Literatursuche heraus: Als Suchsystem wurde die Bielefelder BASE-Datenbank (d.i. Bielefeld Academic Search Engine mit inzwischen mehr als 100 Mio. indexierten Dokumenten) ausgewählt. Diese Auswahl erfolgte vor dem Hintergrund, dass sich die von zahlreichen externen Institutionen bereits genutzte API-Schnittstelle als universell und robust erwiesen hat und umfangreiche Funktionen bereitstellt. Auf der Grundlage der umfangreichen theoretischen und praktischen Erfahrungen des CITEC mit VRTechniken wurde der Prototyp für eine virtuelle Suchumgebung realisiert, der ein Retrieval in einem Suchraum von Online-Dokumenten erlaubt. Die Nutzerinnen und Nutzer können die Suchanfrage explorativ zusammenstellen und dabei die Ergebnisse intuitiv verwalten. Unterstützt werden sie dabei durch Ergebnisanzeige, Sortierung, Optimierung des Suchergebnisses mittels Suchverfeinerung (Drilldown-basiert) oder Anfrageerweiterung und Wiederverwendung von abgelegten Ergebnissen. Gleichzeitig wird der Zugriff- und Lizenzstatus visualisiert und die Detailanzeige der Metadaten des Objektes integriert.

    Abstract
    Wir beschreiben den Prototypen einer Webanwendung, die zwei unterschiedliche Discovery-Dienste und einen OPAC-basierten Suchmaschinenindex integriert. Zunächst skizzieren wir die technische Architektur, geben dann einen Überblick über die Metadaten und APIs der eingesetzten Discovery-Dienste und berichten im Anschluss von den Nutzererfahrungen, die wir aus dem Feedback der Testpersonen gewonnen haben. Zuletzt geben wir einen Überblick über die Ergebnisse unseres Tests und umreißen die Richtung, in die wir unsere Entwicklung fortführen wollen.

    Abstract
    Dieser Artikel beschreibt zunächst die Erfahrungen der Universität Konstanz mit Summon als Discovery-Service. Summon wurde im Jahr 2011 als "KonSearch - die Literatursuchmaschine der Universität Konstanz" eingeführt. Seitdem stiegen die Nutzung und die Akzeptanz dauerhaft an. Im gleichen Jahr wurde an der Universität Konstanz das Projekt Blended Library gestartet. Innerhalb dieses Projekts wurden mehrere Ideen zur Verbindung von gedrucktem und digitalem Bestand und dem Ort Bibliothek entwickelt. Dies führte zum sogenannten Hybrid Bookshelf, das derzeit entwickelt wird.

    Abstract
    Die verschiedenen unter dem Schlagwort "Bibliothek 2.0" zusammengefassten neuen Dienste und Komponenten wie etwa Wikis, Tagging-Systeme und Blogs sind seit einiger Zeit in aller Munde und dringen über Fortbildungsveranstaltungen, Konferenzen und Publikationsorgane immer mehr in das deutschsprachige Bibliothekswesen ein. Darüber hinaus gibt es öffentlich geförderte Projekte zu bibliothekarischen 2.0-Themen und sogar ein Projekt, welches sich explizit einen 2.0-Katalog zum Ziel gesetzt hat. In diesem Beitrag soll es nun nicht um die Vorstellung eines weiteren Projekts im Dienste des Themas "Bibliothek 2.0" gehen, ebenso hat dieser Beitrag nicht den Anspruch, die Diskussion über die möglichen Vor- oder Nachteile dieser Thematik auf theoretischer Ebene voranzubringen. Vielmehr wird hier ganz praktisch aus Sicht einer kleinen Universitätsbibliothek, der Bibliothek der Helmut-SchmidtUniversität (HSU) - Universität der Bundeswehr Hamburg, aufgezeigt, wie das Thema "Web/Bibliothek 2.0" durchaus neben und in Unterstützung von weiteren nutzerorientierten Servicedienstleistungen auch in kleinen Schritten positive Auswirkungen für die Nutzerinnen und Nutzer haben kann. Der Focus wird dabei auf dem zentralen Arbeits- und Rechercheinstrument der Bibliotheksnutzer liegen, dem Bibliothekskatalog. Speziell wird es darum gehen, wie auf relativ einfache Art und Weise durch Anwendung verschiedener Elemente anderer Dienste und Anbieter sowie das Aufgreifen von Schnittstellen und wenig aufwendigen Verbesserungen, Mehrwert für die Nutzerinnen und Nutzer zu erzielen ist. Ein zentraler Begriff bei fast allen Überlegungen, die im Zusammenhang mit der Verbesserung und Anreicherung des Kataloges stehen, war und ist das Thema "Mash-up". Unter Mashups - ein Begriff, der gerade im Zusammenhang mit dem Thema "Web 2.0" im deutschsprachigen Raum eingeführt und adaptiert wurde - wird das Verfahren bezeichnet, Web-Inhalte neu zu kombinieren. Dabei nutzt man bei und für Mashups offene "APIs" (Application Programming Interfaces, also offene Programmierschnittstellen), die von anderen Web-Anwendungen zur Verfügung gestellt werden.

    Abstract
    Das Web 2.0 hat auch bei Bibliotheksnutzern zu veränderten Erwartungshaltungen an bibliothekarische Online-Angebote wie die Kataloge geführt. Diese waren lange Zeit statische Nachweisinstrumente, die heutzutage über das Angebot reiner Bestandsverzeichnisse hinausgehend verschiedene Web 2.0-Funktionalitäten sowie Zusatzinformationen mittels Kataloganreicherung integrierten sollten, um den Erwartungen der Nutzer zu genügen. Die Ergebnisse einer Online-Umfrage unter Nutzern einer Großstadtbibliothek unterstreichen dies: die Nutzer wünschen sich vielfältige Browsingmöglichkeiten, Google-ähnliche Suchmöglichkeiten, zusätzliche Inhalte und ein personalisier-bares Angebot. Welche Funktionen und Inhalte sollte ein Bibliothekskatalog im Zeitalter des Web 2.0 bieten? Am Beispiel der Stadtbücherei Frankfurt wird dargestellt wie Prinzipien des Web 2.0 - u.a. Nutzerfreundlichkeit und Kollaboration - auf das Online-Angebot übertragbar sind, ohne dabei den Personalaufwand, die rechtliche Absicherung der Bibliothek und Fragen der technischen Implementierung zu vergessen.

    Abstract
    Suchportale von Bibliotheken haben im Laufe der Zeit immer stärker eine Reduktion auf einfachste Suchmöglichkeiten im Stile von Google erfahren. Das kommt zwar den Gewohnheiten der Nutzer:innen entgegen, schränkt aber die Möglichkeiten einer fundierten Recherche ein. Abhilfe schaffen explorative Suchinstrumente. Damit diese ökonomisch und bedarfsgerecht realisiert werden können, braucht es eine hohe Datenqualität und einen standardisierten Werkzeugkasten zur Umsetzung von Rechercheoberflächen. Anstelle eines Ausbaus der Funktionen von Suchportalen empfiehlt sich daher eine Ausrichtung und Individualisierung zusätzlicher Recherchetools auf konkrete Anwendungskontexte und Nutzertypen.

    Abstract
    Auf dem Hintergrund der aktuellen OPAC-Entwicklung in Deutschland werden im ersten Teil einzelne Aspekte des OPAC-Designs kommentiert. Es wird u.a. auch auf Möglichkeiten einer Standardisierung der Schnittstelle Retrieval-Software / Benutzeroberfläche eingegangen. Die derzeit dominierenden Online-Kataloge sind für eine Massenbenutzung nur bedingt geeignet, da sie in hohem Maße fehlerintolerant sind, eine Analyse nach Suchfeldern verlangen und mit grundsätzlichen Mängeln der Boole'schen Suchlogik behaftet sind. Im zweiten Teil werden werden Alternativen diskutiert, zum einen in Form eines alphabetisch sortierten Online-Katalogs, zum anderen in Form intelligenter bibliographischer Auskunftssysteme, die Ähnlichkeitssuchen bzw. sog.
