    Abstract
Describes the strategies used by a project team at Tennessee University at Knoxville to implement a programme of computer based training for library staff. Emphasizes that many of the strategies were designed to promote acceptance by the staff and the institution of the value of the programme. Among the strategies discussed are: consultation with staff; involving staff in the evaluation of the products used and responding to their suggestions; active recognition of staff help; promoting support from the institution's administration; and devising an implementation plan with involvement of supervisory staff
