    Abstract
    Als Erfinder des «Allgemeinen» gilt, gemäß dem Bericht des Aristoteles und seit diesem Bericht, Sokrates. Er ist es, der nicht mehr danach suchte, woraus ein Ding zu dem geworden ist, was es ist, oder wie es entstanden ist, sondern danach, «was [ein Ding] ist», und somit ist Sokrates der erste gewesen, der die Herausarbeitung des Allgemeinen (?a?????) forderte und mit seinen Fragen seine Gesprächspartner zu dieser Herausarbeitung trieb bzw. lockte; die Definition (???sµ??) war das Ziel des sokratischen Gesprächs, und die sokratische Aporie war das Vehikel.

    Abstract
    A theoretical approach to information transfer understood as the transformation of knowledge into information is presented. The main components of this information value-adding process are discussed. The success of the trans-formation process is highly dependent on the pragmatic components of the underlying information system such as problem analysers and individual user models. The information industry and information science must make a joint effort, with respect to both research and appropriate training, to overcome the pragmatic deficiencies of current on-line information systems.

    Abstract
    Im Anschluss an die einführenden, auf Information bezogenen Kapitel in der 5. und 6. Ausgabe der Grundlagen (Kuhlen 2004; Kuhlen 2013) soll das pragmatische Verständnis von Information hier weiter theoretisch abgesichert werden.1 Um es auf den Punkt zu bringen: Information wird nicht über einen (wie auch immer begründeten) Wahrheitsbegriff bestimmt.     Abstract
    The C(K)onstance Hypertext System (KHS) is an elaborated example of an open hypertext system. Open hypertext systems combine heterogeneous resources and different hypertext applications such as e-mail, text and image hypertexts with access to online databases or other information resources. These hypertexts, to which heterogeneous users have access, grow steadily in size. This paper takes an object-oriented approach and proposes a rigorous typing of hypertext objects to overcome the problems of open hypertext. The advantage of this typing is shown on an e-mail hypertext as a special application of the KHS system. KHS is written in Smalltalk and is being developed on UNIX-machines
