Reasons concern accessibility, paper saving, distribution costs and the desire to reduce reliance on traditional database publishers. Abstract: Reviews PsycLIT from the American Psychological Association on the KnowledgeFinder CD-ROM version from the Aries Systemc Corporation. Focuses on its natural language search capability which can handle informal queries. Searches can be optimised for precisiion and recall using a slide bar, and the number of results may be maximised. The search system work by multilayered, weighted scoring of each term in the records.
