- Abstract
- Das lang geplante Großprojekt eines Verzeichnisses der im deutschen Sprachraum erschienenen Drucke des 17. Jahrhunderts ist nach Abschluss der Vorbereitungsphase im Dezember 1995 in diesem Jahr in die Hauptphase eingetreten. Die Vorgeschichte, die inhaltlich-konzeptuellen Eckpfeiler sowie die Entwicklung und Realisierung dieses nationalen Unternehmens werden im folgenden in einem notwendigerweise komprimierten Überblick rekapituliert. Dabei erweist sich - sicherlich paradigmatisch für ein bibliographisches Projekt der Informationsgesellschaft -, daß die Darstellung der technischen Grundlagen ein ebenso großes Gewicht erhält wie die Fragen von Regelwerk und Erschließungstiefe
