Abstract: Ob Erwachsene oder Kinder die Bibliothek besuchen, Schwierigkeiten mit dem Handling von OPACs sind fast die Regel und gleichen sich überall auf der Welt. 7Valauskas, E.J.: Graphic exploitation : interfaces as gateways to databases.
In: Database. 16(1993) June, S.102-104.
Abstract: With the development of videodiscs and QuickTime, now there are tools that make this sort of interaction with data on a computer economically and practically possible. With a map, a student works with data stored as maps and video, travelling to Paris, literally walking in a place where the use of French is of practical value. The flexibility of Kid's Catalog, and especially its ability to accept input from users, means that our definitions of OPACs will change
