Abstract
Die Deutsche Internetbibliothek ist ein unabhängiges nichtkommerzielles Online-Auskunftsportal, das im wesentlichen zwei Dienstleistungen anbietet: eine kostenlose E-Mail-Auskunft zu allen Wissensfragen sowie einen umfangreichen und regelmäßig kontrollierten Linkkatalog für das Internet. Derzeit arbeiten 55 Öffentliche und wissenschaftliche Bibliotheken im deutschsprachigen Raum am Projekt mit. Weitere Mitstreiter werden gesucht. Warum sich das Engagement lohnt, zeigen der folgende Bericht sowie die eingestreuten Kommentare von langjährigen Mitarbeiterinnen.
