Abstract

Durch die Kürzungen im Kulturbereich, Einstellungsstops und das Einfrieren von Etats, ganz zu schweigen von den Bibliothekszusammenlegungen und -schließungen, stellt sich die Frage, ob die Bibliotheken ihre Aufgaben erfüllen, erfüllen können oder ob sie sich vielleicht ihre Aufgabenstellung neu durchdenken sollten. Ebenso weiter unten in der Hierarchie kann die Fragestellung genauso für die Informationsvermittlung zutreffen: welche sind die Hauptgegenstände der Informationsvermittlung, welches sind die Zielgruppen, wie charakterisierut man sie, und wie werden die Informationen an die Benutzer vermittelt?
