Abstract

Gesellschaftliche Fragestellungen kommen bei der Diskussion über den Information Highway oft zu kurz. Insbesondere die Frage der Akzeptanz läßt sich jedoch nicht allein aus wirtschaftlicher und politischer Sicht beantworten. Der Wandel in Arbeit und Beruf zu virtuellen Unternehmen und Telearbeit wirft auch Fragen auf nach der Stellensuche, zur Isolationsgefahr, nach neuen Berufsfeldern und sozialen Konsequenzen, Problempotentiale stellen das Copyright, Datenschutz und Datensicherheit, Informationsüberflutung, gesellschaftliche Spaltung und fehlende politische Rahmenbedingungen dar. Information und Aufklärung sind hier notwendig
