Abstract

Wegen Ermittlungen der Münchener Staatsanwaltschaft hat der Computer-Onlinedienst CompuServe seinen 4 Millionen Abonnenten in aller Welt den Zugang zu rund 200 Internet-Dateigruppen mit pornographischen Inhalten gesperrt. Kritiker in den USA warfen der Bundesrepublik vor, sie schränke das Recht auf freie Meinungsäußerung ein

"Während die Staatsanwaltschaft der Ansicht ist, daß Computernetz-Anbieter eine Mitverantwortung für Daten tragen, die über ihren Service zugänglich sind, verweist CompuServe darauf, es habe keine Einflußmöglichkeiten auf Inhalte des Internet." "Liberale Kreise in den USA sind besorgt, daß der Kampf gegen die Pornographie im Internet dazu dient, auch politisch mißliebige Inhalte besser kontrollieren zu können"
