Abstract

Defines terms and outlines the user's future enviroment in order to describe related retrieval functions. Access to original information is becoming quicker and more direct. Users are being encouraged to carry out retrieval procedures for themselves. This requires suitable infrastructures at the work station and in the corresponding information centres and the adaption of basic and advanced training. Presents a model of an information centre.
