Abstract

Die StadtBibliothek Köln versteht sich als allgemeine Anlaufstelle für jeden bei allen Fragen - mit dem Ziel, alles für alle aus allen zur Verfügung stehenden Quellen zu beschaffen. Oberste Maxime ist: Jede Bürgerin und jeder Bürger muß das Recht und auch die (finanzielle) Möglichkeit haben, auf alle Informationen dieser Gesellschaft zugreifen zu können. Diese Zielvorgabe macht Überlegungen notwendig, die Bibliotheksorganisation und den Nutzerservice entsprechend anzupassen. In Köln begegnet man den neuen Herausforderungen unter anderem mit einem dreistufigen Auskunftskonzept in der Zentralbibliothek
