Abstract

Die Forschungsbibliothek ändert ihr Gesicht: Elektronische Datenverarbeitung und Neue Medien erweitern die leistungsfähigkeit und die Aufgaben - vorausgesetzt, Bund und Länder sorgen für die erforderlichen Investititonen. Doch zugleich gerät die traditionelle Aufgabe der wissenschaftlichen Bibliotheken in Gefahr. Die Bibliothekare fürchten, daß sie einen Teil der Informationen künftig nur noch inkasso für andere Anbieter vermitteln und die ehrwürdigen Einrichtungen zu Durchlauferhitzern verkommen
