Abstract
Die Zeitungsabteilung der Russischen Nationalbibliothek ist noch recht jung und datiert aus dem Jahr 1950. aus dem Jahr 1931 stammt bereits eine zeitungstypische Art der Zeitungsmagazinierung, nämlich eine Aufstellung nach den Erscheinungsorten. Der Grundbestand der Zeitungen befindet sich in einem Haus, die Übergabe weiterer Zeitungen aus anderen Abteilungen wird organisiert. Nach dem Pflichtexemplarrecht und auf Bestellung gelangen die Zeitungen in die BIbliothek. Neben den Pflichtaufgaben der Abteilung wurden bisher mehrere Bestandsverzeichnisse mit unterschiedlichem Ansatz publiziert. Gegenwärtig wird ein Online-Katalog erstellt. Eine Mikrofilmsammlung befindet sich im aufbau. Die internationale Zusammenarbeit erweist sich dabei als vorteilhaft
