Discusses the state of the art of Norwegian public library access to the Internet focusing on the outcome of an allocation in 1997 of Pounds 500.000 by the Nowegian Parliament to increase the number of public libraries with Internet connection and develop new services on the Internet. Looks at the benefits of Internet access for Norwegian public libraries in general and the Hordaland County Library in particular
