Abstract

Wir geben zu Beginn einen Überblick über die Entwicklung der Usability-Forschung und zeigen das Spektrum der Test-Methoden auf. Der Ist-Zustand der Homepage des Landtags Nordrhein-Westfalen wird bezüglich seiner Inhalte und Strukturen dargestellt. Zielgruppen werden definiert und strategische sowie konzeptionelle Ziele, die derLandtag NRW mit seiner Homepage verfolgt, erläutert. Anhand eines Benutzertests und einer heuristischen Evaluation als expertenzentrierter Methode prüfen wir die Website auf Mängel in der Benutzerfreundlichkeit und -akzeptanz. Ergänzt werden diese beiden Verfahren um die aus der Bibliothekswissenschaft stammende Availability-Untersuchung, die die Qualität der Homepage-internen Suchmaschine misst. Aus diesen drei Evaluationsmethoden ergeben sich konkrete Vorschläge für ein Redesign.
