Abstract

1. Förderprogramm: Themenorientierte Informationsnetze: Ausschreibung "Virtuelle Forschungsumgebungen. Infrastruktur und Demonstrationsprojekte" (30.4.2008) Ziele der Förderung Die Förderung zielt auf die Verbreitung virtueller Forschungsumgebungen innerhalb von koordinierten Forschungsverbünden ab. Dabei soll die Entwicklung neuer oder die Zusammensetzung verschiedener interoperabler Komponenten der datenbezogenen Infrastruktur (z.B. Wikis, Blogs, Projekt Management, Virtuelle Organisationen, Primärdatenrepositorien mit Authentifizierungsstrukturen, Data-Tagging usw.) gefördert werden. Weitere Ziele der Förderung sind die verbesserte Zusammenarbeit zwischen Forschungsverbünden und Informationseinrichtungen sowohl auf nationaler als auch internationaler Ebene.

Förderprogramm: Elektronische Publikationen: Ausschreibung "Aufbau und Vernetzung von Repositorien" (30.4.2008) Ziele der Förderung Die DFG will mit einer gezielten Fördermaßnahme zum weiteren Ausbau der Infrastruktur für entgeltfrei zugängliche elektronische Publikationen beitragen und die wissenschaftlichen Autoren und Autorinnen an den Hochschulen dabei unterstützen, ihre Forschungsergebnisse im Open Access verfügbar zu machen. Dazu sollen die derzeit von Hochschulen und Forschungseinrichtungen in großer Zahl aufgebauten lokalen Systeme zur Speicherung frei zugänglicher Forschungspublikationen (sog. Institutionelle Repositorien) gezielt ausgebaut und unter übergeordneten fachlichen Gesichtspunkten aggregiert und vernetzt werden, so dass eine frei zugängliche Schicht hochwertiger Publikationen in hoher Benutzungsqualität im Internet zugänglich wird. Intendiert ist insbesondere die Entwicklung überregionaler und fachspezifischer Dienste zur Zusammenführung der Publikationen, zur Standardisierung von Metadaten, zum Austausch von Metadaten sowie von in Repositorien archivierten digitalen Objekten, zur Entwicklung von community-bezogenen Mehrwertdiensten sowie zur Ermittlung von Nutzung und Impakt der über Repositorien zugänglichen Publikationen.
