Abstract

This paper presents a report of the projects and programmes far narrowing the digital divide in India with special reference to the State of Karnataka. The various endeavours of the governments and non-government organizations in the country in creating awareness in rural areas especially through information kiosks are highlighted. Such activities and programmes in the State of Karnataka are briefly described.
