Abstract

Seit 2004 engagiert sich die Staatsbibliothek zu Berlin - Preußischer Kulturbesitz mit zunehmender Intensität im Bereich der Erforschung und Erschließung von Provenienzen. Von besonderer Bedeutung sind dabei die Ermittlung, Dokumentation und Restitution von NS-Raubgut und gleichzeitig die Analyse des institutionellen Kontexts, der administrativen Prozesse und Verteilungswege für geraubte Bücher. Derzeit gibt es in der Abteilung Historische Drucke zwei Projekte zu NS-Raubgut im Druckschriftenbestand der Staatsbibliothek und zur Rolle der Reichstauschstelle, die von der Thyssen-Stiftung und der Arbeitsstelle für Provenienzrecherche/-forschung gefördert werden bzw. wurden.
