Abstract

Weblogs und verbundene Techniken des Web 2.0 haben in kurzer Zeit eine weit verbreitete Nutzung in Bibliotheken erfahren. In diesem Artikel werden anhand von Beispielen insbesondere aus dem medizinischen Bibliothekswesen die Herausforderungen und Chancen für bloggende Bibliotheken dargestellt. Blogs können überaus vielfältige Aufgaben übernehmen, unter anderem dienen sie der persönlichen Informationsgewinnung und -filterung, der Verbesserung des Informationsflusses innerhalb und zwischen Bibliotheken sowie der Kommunikation mit dem Nutzer.
