Abstract

UnCover is an online current awareness and document delivery service, located in Denver, CO and containing 4 million articles from over 13.000 interdisciplinary periodicals. UnCover is accessed by librarians over the Internet and similar networks such as the UK's JANET and Australia's AARNET. Users can search the database, identifying articles of interest, and request their delivery within 24 hours by facsimile transmission. Searching is by author, article keyword, or periodical title. Specific issues of a periodical can be retrieved and the articles appearing in that issue can be listed on screen, effectively recreating the contents pages. Unlike traditional abstracting and indexing service databases, UnCover is an up to date source of information and users do not have to wait 3-6 months for the article citation to appear in the database
